Here's a blast from the past. Mike Dunlap is the new Bobcats coach! I always thought the guy was a good coach, but he's on a hiding to nothing there. Can't see anyone turning that mob around until they land a superstar in the draft.

Isn't there a way cp3 can opt out of the clippers and then join the lakers? Wouldn't be surprised if this happened with Howard also on the radar

Miami haven't done anything special but just seem to be keeping OKC ar bay. Westbrook with a monster today, cancelled somewhat by a strong game from Chalmers. OKC might be desperate to stay alive, but I think Miami will be more desperate to win in their last home game of the season. 3-1, stranger things have happened but it's a massive hole.

I think Howard or Paul joining the Lakers would be highly unlikely. Paul would be a remote chance to leave the clippers and Howard looks increasingly likely to stay with Orlando.

the team with 3 straight games in the 2/3/2 format dont win all 3 too often, so OKC could win game 5 and hope to bring it back home. My 4-2 prediction OKC win is already wrong so hopefully series can at least go a couple more games. Once D.Rose went down i didnt really care anyway.

Pretty sure no team has ever come back from 3-1 down in the NBA Finals before so as much as I'd like to see the Thunder come back she's essentially all over.

It'll make for a very interesting off season if that happens. Lol.

If the Heat win 4-1 (as I think will happen) it'll be noteworthy the only side that really gave them trouble was Boston. Most commentators seem to think Boston are likely to break up since it looks a lot like Garnett and Allen particularly are on their last legs and might join a side like Chicago, Miami, OKC or another top contender. You could easily make an argument that they are closest to beating the Heat and could go around again. A little luck, some better play in crunch time and you never know. Another little sidenote will be what happens with the Heat going forward. Once Chicago got that first one with Jordan the only thing that stopped them was a tragedy leading to Jordan retiring prematurely. Could the Heat do something similar? The championship chasers tossing up between a few sides will suddenly find Miami a more appealing option so recruiting on the basis of winning gets easier. In turn, that could fill holes in Miami's side.

Lol. Everyone seems to be convinced some big name is Lakers bound. I just don't see it happening to be honest. The signed Shaq to a massive contract when they had few highly paid players, then when Shaq went they had Kobe at his peak. I can't remember the last big name signing to have happened without a clear gap in the salary cap. A blockbuster trade might work, but without shifting Kobe or making a package deal with Bynum and Gasol/MWP I don't see much change.

Rashard Lewis? That guy has been an overpaid bust for years. Howard made him look good and ever since clubs have had to pay the guy $10m a season to be an average mid range jump shooter. Sounds like a good trade for the Wizards, depending on the pick. I'm starting to like the way they're going about it. A few years down the track, they might just be up there.

I think you'll find Rashard Lewis is actually on more than double that ($20m+ a year). I remember when the Magic lured him from the Sonics on that 7 year around $120 million deal, one of the worst deals in NBA history.

Rashard Lewis is on 21m, insane really considering how rubbish he is.

I think Kobe is on around 27m or something next season? Heavily backended contract so the more he declines the more he gets paid. ;)

Makes it harder to sign decent players but if they get rid of Gasol that will free up a bit as he is on 19 I think next season.

Was on just over $22m this season and on just under $24m next season.

my twitter feed had a report that Dwight is pushing really hard for a trade to Brooklyn before the draft.

would love Rondo, but don't think there's enough ball to go around between Rondo and Kobe, so wouldn't rekon that'd work out too well, and the exact same situation with Westbrook. But i also wouldn't complain if we snagged Deron.
