Id like to thank the Adelaide casino for the channel being changed in the second qtr and the poor blokes behind the bar not knowing how to turn it back. Probably took about 5 mins. Then 4 and half minutes to go in the last and it happens again and doesn't get changed back till basically the game was over. The 100+ crowd were less than impressed. The only positive was the result went our way and I had 20 bucks on Boston half time Miami full time at $5.50

Game one toady. My tip OKC to win today and series 4-2. Think alot depends on Westbrook. He needs to be aggresive but also remember that Durant is the man and not him. Could be a long series if Durant doesnt see enough of the ball. James will get 30/9/7 but for Heat to win Wade needs to be more consistent and not have any 1 of 12 shooting games. If heat dont win the title bosh and/or Wade will be traded and Spolstra will be sacked.

i guess ill be happy either way whoever wins.

but im actually wanting miami to win more....

OKC will have plenty of more chances to win it in the future if they keep same team or as close to same team.

either way its gonna be an awesome series.

Will be "rooting" for OKC, although as a Portland fan I cant help but wonder how life would be different if Durant was selected over Oden back on draft day. Hindsight..

Shame the series isnt on FTA TV, even midnight replays.

About 5 years ago I was a massive NBA fan, I knew every player.

I seriously haven't watched much since, and wouldn't have sat through an entire game in 2-3 years.

Switched it on today, and wow, Durant is amazing.

Good win by the Thunder in Game 1, it's a bit late now but I would've picked the Thunder 4-2.

Hard to really say much about game 1, everything went to script. Durant was sensational, James was good but any difference between the two was overshadowed by the performance difference between the rest of the Heat and the rest of the Thunder. Bosh was ineffective and Wade performed far below the level expected for a player of his stature. On the plus side though, Battier, Chalmers and Haslem all made reasonable contributions but it'll mean nothing if Bosh and Wade aren't producing solid numbers. They just can't rely on James going off for 45/15/10 4 times to win this. Maybe he'll do it once, but championships are won by blokes doing the business night after night.

Give me Durant any day of the week over James.

Durant plays both ends of the court brilliantly and given that bit of extra height is harder to defend and score past!!!

Bit harsh, still think Lebron is one of the best defenders in the league. Durant not in his class on the defensive end.

Im a tad bias with my new found love for everything OKC!!!!

Im far from an NBA expert but the one thing i have noticed different between the two sides is OKC are more well rounded side and there "no" names are still very extremly good defensivly. Every player in their side seems to be there to play a certain role while at the Heat it feels like at times other blokes are only on the court because you have to have five blokes out there.

Thats the same reason they lost last season, to a good SIDE, with A few great players and help. Not 3 "stars" and no help.

my take of game 1........

Miami started on fire, and if they kept that up would have won by 30+. fortunatley for OKC, they cooled down, and the team as a whole was too much too handle for Miami. But on the other hand, Westbrook was taking a heap of shots early, and they weren't dropping. halfway through the 2nd, he started to hit those shots. if he stayed cold all game and didn't start to give it to Durant, they wouldn't have got close.

I look at Westbrook as a crapper DRose. can score, crazily athletic and stupidly quick. the one difference for me between DRose and Westbrook is, i don't care if DRose 'hogs' it, because he hasnt got a heap of offensive talent around him. Westbrook on the other hand, has Durant.
