I. Got Miami at $2.35. Into $1.70 now. So I'm assuming rose ain't playing?

That's a great get. Nothing assured in sports of course, but you'd think Miami should be fairly short odds with Rose not playing.

Just done some more reading on Howard's movements and it's seeming more and more like those that want Howard long term are going to hold off until season end to get him as a free agent while few others want him for just a few months. Orlando don't want to get nothing for him ala Shaq circa 1996 which begs the question:

How cheap could Howard go for?

Could a late first round draft pick do? Orlando won't get a good one this next draft but might have a couple of top picks if they bottom out without the big guy, so maybe a full rebuild is on the cards, a young rotation player off the bench or a 20+ pick might just make them feel it's better than the nothing they face in 3 months time. Which leads to another question:

Who would want Howard for the last part of the season?

Absolutely only championship contenders, surely? Any team out of contention for playoffs won't want to compromise their lottery odds for a bloke who will leave soon after. Anyone who doesn't think Howard could be the difference won't send anything away. Any team with an already strong inside presence couldn't expect much of a lift. Despite his talent, no team will get great chemistry with him this season. Which all makes me wonder, could we see an auction closer to a reverse auction between Miami and OKC? Chicago might have a passing interest, but Boozer and Noah already give them strength inside. Miami and OKC though have weak centres, are already serious contenders and might just make enough of a bid to Orlando to tempt them with nothing being the option for Orlando after the deadline.

Bulls up by 11 at the half.
Killing it from behind the line. Miami never seem to defend the 3 well

I hope lakers make a couple changes. But have to keep bynum

Chicago's bench have done all the damage with Bosh and Wade on the floor!

Wade gave Miami a chance but Bulls did just enough when it mattered. Wade and LeBron 30/50 the rest 7/33. The centre position is a huge concern for them. Chicago are a very well balanced team. I think these two will go at it in the conference finals, will be a fascinating series if that happens.

Mike D'Antoni steps down as Knicks coach and Mike Woodson has been named interim coach.

Edited for accuracy.....

Agree 100%. I said this time last season I think you need a solid 5 to put on the floor when the championship is on the line. Last 5 minutes, scores level game 7 of the NBA finals and Chicago will be happy with their 5 guys they think can win it. Miami won't be unless something changes. Their best 5 players are probably James, Wade, Bosh, Haslem and then either Chalmers or Miller. That asks a lot of James and Bosh defensively. Dare I say it, but perhaps Miami will be forced to roll the dice with James as their centre.

Would Orlando be tempted with an offer of Anthony and a late first round pick for Howard? Would anyone else offer more? Orlando would be the biggest losers, but better than getting squat for Howard.

Won't change anything IMHO. Carmelo getting his way just stokes his ego when he needs to learn he's just NOT in the class of the top players. When a guy like Michael Jordan realises he needs to improve his game and get help to win I don't Carmelo can expect to be different.

Yeah, same old same old as a Knicks supporter, we have seen this plenty of times before.
At least we got our first win of the month today, how bad are Portland travelling when a crap side like us wins by over 40 today

Magnificent win for the Bulls today with no D Rose. I was not very confident when he was ruled out despite having Deng and CJ back but our bench was awesome. Very important win as that squares the season series between Chicago and Miami.

Portland have to be one of the worst away teams in sporting history at the moment. They don't even keep things competitive and struggle to score.
