exactly my thoughts. but i don't rekon they'd be content with just Bynum for him. and they still probably wanna off load Turk and his contract. so it would probably involve Odom still, and draft picks/cash. but if the starting five could look like....

Fisher/Blake (Hopefully cp3 or deron though)
Kobe
World Peace (LOL)
Pau
Howard

with Turk coming off the bench, i could live with that.

still the obvious weak point at the moment is the 1 spot.

Just went onto the NBA website and had a read about the possible three way trade with LA, Houston and NO. The NBA had the power the block the trade because they own the Hornets until some1 buys them. Who else knew that? I didn't.

Amazing that Stern has done this. CP3 is in his last year of his contract and wants to leave. So it will be impossible for the Hornets to gain = value in return no matter who they trade with. They dont want to lose him for nothing either. I cant see any of the other teams interested able to give as good a deal as what this one was.

Personally i think there has been such a fuss kicked up over this that the NBA will end up reversing their decision.

ALso sad news to hear that Brandon Roy has had to retire due to his ongoing knee issues.

CP3 frenzy continues...

Rajon Rondo is 25 years old, an NBA champion, a two-time All-Star and a three-time All-Defensive team selection. He’s also set to make $46 million over the next four seasons, one of the league’s best bang-for-the-buck non-rookie contracts. And yet, the Celtics are reportedly trying like mad to trade him for Chris Paul, possibly even offering Rondo to Golden State for Stephen Curry in order to flip Curry to the Hornets for Paul, according to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.

From NBAMate

Prior to the lockout Patty was tendered a qualifying offer by Portland making him a restricted free agent (the $1,171,494 qualifying offer does not guarantee he will remain with the Blazers, but allows the Blazers to retain his rights and match offers from other teams). But his prospects in Portland aren’t good. They traded for Raymond Felton, drafted Nolan Smith and have two other young point guards (Williams and Johnson) on the roster. They’re stacked at his position and it was probably time for Patty to move on.

And the timing was perfect for this to occur. Besides Patty, the best available point guards in free agency are: Delonte West, Jose Barea, Rodney Stuckey, Mario Chalmers, TJ Ford, Earl Watson and Ronnie Price. And that’s it.

Now, compare that with the available point guards in next year’s 2012 free agency: Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Chauncey Billups, Kirk Hinrich, Raymond Felton, Andre Miller, Jason Kidd, Aaron Brooks, Goran Dragic and all the point guards in the 2009 draft class (more on that later). Having locked himself in to the Chinese league season, Patty now joins this group. Good luck with that.

Australian point guard Patrick Mills (183-PG-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Xinjiang F.T., receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (42 points, four rebounds and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat TianJin R. (#17, 2-5) 121-108. Xinjiang F.T. is placed at 6th position in Chinese CBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Xinjiang F.T. will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Mills had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He turned to be Xinjiang F.T.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Saint Mary's College of California star has very solid stats this year. Mills is in league's top in points (2nd best: 30.5ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg,58.5% FGP and 62.5% from behind 3-point line.

Of the NBA players who signed in Europe during the lockout, All-Star point guard Deron Williams easily stood out as the best player in the bunch. When he signed with Besiktas in Turkey, it suggested that Europe could be a legitimate option for the best players in the world. While no other players of that caliber ended up crossing the pond, Williams still stands out as an important figure in the history of Americo-European basketballular relations.

That said, he only played 15 games in Turkey. Which makes it somewhat shocking that Besiktas has retired his No. 8 jersey.

Few things from round the NBA

- Howard fromally requests a trade
- Jason Richardson resigns in Orlando for 4 years - 425 mil
- Tyson Chandler ends up in NY (The Knicks sent veteran center Ronny Turiaf, cash considerations and a 2013 second-round pick to Washington. They also dealt second-year guard Andy Rautins to the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas sent a second-round 2012 draft choice to Washington and the draft rights to Ahmad Nivins and Giorgos Printezis to New York. Washington also sent a future second round draft choice to Dallas.)
- NY made room for Chandler's salry by waiving Chauncy Billups and signing Mike Bibby to a one year, minimum deal
- Bulls are chasing Rip Hamilton
- Boston are close to deal for David West
- Suns waive Vince Carter, who may end up in Dallas

This sounds like it's going to happen. Rip has bought out his 2 year contract and rumored to have been seen having a shoot around with the Bulls
