Pacers get George Hill. Spurs get a scoring guard in Leonard.
Really interesting.

'AUSSIE' GOES NO. 1 IN NBA DRAFT

Basketball: HE DOESN'T sound Australian, given he's spent his entire life in New York, but we're claiming Victorian-born Kyrie Irving, who just went at No. 1 in this morning's NBA Draft.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took the 19-year-old point guard with their first pick, despite him playing just 303 minutes of college basketball in just 11 games for North Carolina.

Irving is the second Australian No. 1 pick in seven years, after Milwaukee took big man Andrew Bogut in 2005.

The lack of college games or big-time experience clearly doesn't bother him, either, considering he recently put his hand up to play for Australia at the 2012 London Olympics.

im sure we will keep claiming him as an aussie..... unless he sucks lol

He might as well play for Australia, won't get close to getting a gig for the USA any time soon with CP3, D Rose, D Will, Rondo etc etc ahead of him.

Sounds like Chicago have traded their pick 28 to Wolves for their 23rd selection, Mirotic from Real Madrid ( ) who won't be coming to the NBA for 4 years.

Congrats to both of the Aussies that got drafted Kyrie Irving & Ater Majok:

Majok drafted by LA Lakers

Former National Basketball League player Ater Majok has been drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in today’s NBA Draft in the United States.

Majok played for both the Perth Wildcats and Gold Coast Blaze last season, averaging 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14 games.

The Blaze released Majok in March to allow him to prepare for the draft.

The former Sudanese refugee, who settled with his family in Sydney, was selected with the 58th overall pick by the Lakers.

Majok was eligible for the draft through his time at the University of Connecticut. He has also previously played professionally in Turkey.

Analysis: The Lakers had a solid draft. Morris has real talent as a pure point guard. If new coach Mike Brown can get him to defend his position and improve his jumper, we could remember him as a draft night steal down the road. Goudelock can shoot the ball with deep range, but he's very undersized. Majok barely deserves a mention.

Going to be interesting which free agents the Mavs bring back, with them trading got Fernandez I think it rules out Peja returning to the big D. Also be interesting to see if Rudy will start infront of a fit roddy B.

Exactly!

Will be interested to see if Kyle Singler ends up having much of a career as he was highly rated coming out of high school but wound up being drafted in second round.

I compare Singler to Hayward.
I reckon he could make it, more so as an off the bench player.
Wouldn't have minded him in OKC
