Childress to face the NBL Tribunal tomorrow night.

Sydney Kings star import Josh Childress will face three charges on Tuesday and the potential sanction of a suspension, in one of the highest profile NBL tribunal hearings in the competition's history.

The American forward, widely regarded as the best credentialled NBA player to appear in the NBL after 391 matches in the world's best league, was ejected from last Friday's clash with the Wildcats in Perth, after flattening opposing forward Jesse Wagstaff.

Childress 31, has been charged with striking with an elbow, unduly rough play and bringing the game into disrepute. He will appear before an independent tribunal in Sydney from 5.30pm on Tuesday.

Very generous when for the 36ers in the playoffs Gary Ervin got 1 game (2 games suspended) and a $7500 fine (another $10000 suspended) for kneeing Chris Goulding in the groin.

The 36ers have signed Richie Edwards a 6'7" SF who was born in the US but is a naturalised kiwi, played at Arizona State and just played in the NZ league. Mitch Creek was placed on injury waivers as he still could be out for another 4-5 weeks. Edwards is expected to play on Sunday against the Breakers.

Also in a surprising move the Wollongong Hawks have announced they've released Dave Gruber so they can sign another player shortly.

What a great day for the 36ers with the win over the Breakers despite being down Wilson & Creek but in a massive coup the 36ers have signed Boomers forward Brock Motum for the rest of the season who was last week waived by the Utah Jazz. To fit him inside the points cap import Daequon Montreal is being released.

It's official!

The 36ers have signed Brock Motum to a 2 year deal. The 6'10" PF played for the Boomers at the World Cup in Spain, played in Italy last season and was just cut by the Utah Jazz last week.

He's going to make his debut for the 36ers in Sydney on Sunday.
