It was a great game to watch. I was hoping the JJ's might pinch it but as you said they fell too in love with jacking up three's late whilst the Kings kept executing down the other end with that big shot by Vasiljevic icing it and carried on a bit afterwards, reportedly he's received death threats since too.

What wasn't good was Kings coach Chase Buford kicking a hole in the electronic signage and avoiding being suspended just got another fine for his poor behaviour.

The 36ers have announced they've re-signed promising youngster Nick Marshall to a 2 year deal. The 6'5" forward will remain a Development Player next season and will then come onto the roster in 2023-24.

The SE Melbourne Phoenix have announced a couple of big re-signings star forward Mitch Creek has re-signed to a 3 year deal and head coach Simon Mitchell has re-signed to a one-year deal.

The 35 year old Tasmanian played four years with the 36ers and won two NBL championships in 2007 (Bullets) & 2009 (Dragons). He was also the NBL Defensive player of the year in 2009 and played for the Boomers at the 2012 Olympics in London and also the 2010 World Championships & 2014 World Cup. He had a brief stint with SE Melbourne again this season as a Covid replacement player.

Also Melbourne United have announced they've signed Makuach Maluach to a one-year deal. The Sudanese-Australian is a 6'7" forward who played in Finland last season and is currently playing for the Darwin Salties in the NBL1 North.

The 36ers have announced they've signed swingman Anthony Drmic to a 2 year deal, the second year a mutual option. Drmic played four years with the Sixers from 2016-2020 and returns to the club for a second stint after spending the last two seasons with the Bullets.

The Brisbane Bullets have signed F/C Harry Froling to a one-year deal. Froling returns to the Bullets for a second stint with the team after playing with the Illawarra Hawks last season.

A big announcement for the Cairns Taipans re-signing star import Tahjere McCall to a 2 year deal. He's currently playing for the Otago Nuggets in the NZ league during the off-season.

Also ESPN has signed a deal with FIBA to be the broadcast channel of international hoops for the next four years. The deal not only includes all Boomers & Opals games but also the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup starting in Sydney in September, the 2023 FIBA Men's World Cup along with FIBA qualifiers and Continental Cups. The Boomers play a World Cup qualifying series against China & Japan starting June 30 in Melbourne.

The Sydney Kings have announced they've re-signed Grand Final MVP Xavier Cooks to a 3 year deal. Cooks is currently playing in the NZ league during the off-season.

As mentioned the 36ers have officially signed import Antonius Cleveland to a 2 year deal. He won the NBL's Defensive player of the year award and made the All-NBL First Team with the Illawarra Hawks last season.
