Half-time

Wildcats 60
36ers 44

Excellent second quarter but fell apart badly in the last 2 minutes of the quarter seeing the lead blow out again.

Sixers still have a very strong pulse and have been pushing for well over a quarter but Perth have a good 45 seconds and they blow it back out. Got a feeling here the Sixers aren't done. This ain't the Wildcats of old, they do at times seem vulnerable.

Agree this game is still there for their taking if we want it enough this isn't the Wildcats team of the past few years.

Final

Wildcats 106
36ers 101

One of the gutsiest games I've seen us play to come back and take the lead late only for the Wildcats to get some very iffy calls right at the end.

Jerome Randle you're a star.

Forget Carrusca, Eddie, Sloane, Chad, Gray or the Ferg. Randle is the best sportsman in this town. Best player in the league and is the best player that has ever played for the Sixers. If he had the back up of players like the Sixers had for the best part of 20 years up until the early 2000's he would average over 30 points and 7 assists a game.

In unfortunate news for the Wildcats Damian Martin has been ruled out for 10-12 weeks with an MCL tear sustained in the game against the 36ers on Saturday night.

His body language in that Illawarra game was appalling and thought at the time if they're not going to sack the coach he needed to go.

Get the feeling they have a big name lined up as a replacement. Thought NZ might've looked at him for Woodside but grabbed David Stockton (son of NBA legend John Stockton)

Confirmation the NZ Breakers have signed import PG David Stockton to replace Ben Woodside who is out injured for at least 6-8 weeks. Stockton the son of NBA legend John Stockton is a 5'11" PG who had been playing in Croatia and has previously played in the NBA with Sacramento.

A bit of bad blood between Cedric & Corey Webster at the Breakers so was probably unlikely. Melbourne did say they hope to have their new import to play this weekend.
