Played Murray Bridge on Sunday- good conditions, mainly sun until last couple of holes where some drizzle moved in.

Tees were generous and Greens in fantastic condition, perhaps the best I have seen them there.

Shot an 81 for nett 66 which included a stinking 8 on the Par 5 8th which should never happen (got greedy trying to fly the trees) and a 7 on the Par 4 7th.

Driving was solid again and irons improved.

Will miss our next scheduled game at Sth Lakes in a fortnight but should be back for the next one at Willunga.

Good scoring MG, did they still have the rough long?

Seems a weird choice to have a pro comp at Willunga, would think there will be some real low scores.

Playing 18 at Vines Thursday morning

Rough was OK- have also cleared a lot of trees along the 9th/10th fairways. Had an almost uninterrupted crack off the tee at the 9th green, finished out 15 m short

Snuck 9 holes in yesterday as we have qualifying for one of our major trophies this week (Saturday) because i had another lesson about 3 weeks ago and it feels like it's totally f***d my game!

1 x Par in 9 holes
6 x Bogeys
2 x Birdies (And 1 was shank with a 56* that hit the pin and dropped, if it didn't it was 20m off the back)

He did say to me, it will take some time, but i dead set feel like i've gone backwards big time........

I will be very lucky to qualify in the top 32 at this rate that's for sure!

Isn't that the case with lessons though, you always go backwards before the new good habits take over

9 holes this arvo
Mainly working which of the 3 x 5woods I have I want to use and to see how the hybrid behaves.
One of three 5w (25yrs old belongs to the iron set currently in the bag) decided it needed to join the family and performed ok.
So monthly medal Saturday...see what happens under pressure

Cracking day at the Vines today, only to be met by the coring machine on the 2nd hole, from there the holes were either freshly cored or just cut and rolled in preparation for coring which meant they were like putting on glass.

Played very ordinary, 101 off the stick for 31 pts, back 9 was better with 48 including a 9 on the 15th, driving and irons horrible but putting was pretty solid and stopped a complete blow out, still an enjoyable morning on the course.

Ouch! Had that once before at Willunga. Skipped a few holes to get ahead, but as you said the greens ahead were rolled and absolute lightning!

To be fair it was only the small hole coring machine which still make the greens pretty playable still with only a light dusting of sand on top, unlike some courses where its hardly worth playing on for a couple of weeks.

They do have a fandangled coring machine which I think is an expensive piece of machinery

Monthly medal
Greens on the quick side.
Performance was horrible. Really couldn't get anything going.
The boa on my right shoe gave way on the 10th.
Ended up with 105
The positive it was a 3hr40min round

Got an open today 27 holes after playing footy yesterday.

Only a few boggy patches. Mainly 10/18
Bunkers aren't great, don't try and take sand.
Flag in tough spot on 7th.
Few tucked pins from monthly medal yesterday.

48/15pts, Driver still horrible, only hitting one fairway  irons/hybrids much better and putting OK, that pin position on the 7th was nasty! overall a very enjoyable hit, the front 9 at Flaggy is as good as any 9 holes in SA IMO

1st, 3rd (although shouldn't be in play) 4th, 6th, 7th all have hazards, either houses or the creek
