I had my first hit at Pt Hughes and despite seeing the weirdest tee off of all time (a bloke teeing off before us drove it straight into the stobie pole, situated right in the middle of the tee blocks), I managed a very dubious 54 after 8, only to birdie the last for a 57.

The design was very good. I've played on two links courses and I think this is the best one I've played on. I thought the cost was fairly good too, I was expecting a little better.

For my first hit in about 7 years, I was pretty happy with the way I hit the ball overall.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to, I don't have the time MT. Hence the 7 year hiatus.

I'm planning on doing a 7-up golf documentary. So I'll report back in 14 years.

Officially joining the Mawson lakes golf club tomorrow. Full membership is quite reasonably priced and literally 2mins down the road from me.

I'm looking at playing a hell of a lot more now as well as holding an officially handicap.

Well personally I find drinking before 12 noon socially unacceptable. But I have been offered alcohol before 8am after 6 holes

I don't usually drink when I am playing. I find it dehydrates me really bad.

As of Friday I will have 2 weeks off which will include a few rounds of golf. I've already got the wednesday and friday booked in (wed is comp, fri will be "practice") and will try and get another couple in in between. hoping to be at sub 20 handicap by the end of the break.

Played North Haven early on Monday morning, just gone, with my brother...

Is a pretty easy course, if you hit straight, and actually played really well, considering I don't get out for a round much during footy season...

Had 41, off the stick, going out and had a couple of birdies, including hitting the pin on the 7th from about 120m out to then tap it in for a 3...

Missed a couple of easier putts on the 'back 9', coming in, and hit 45, for a total of 86, off the stick. Not bad for me, who would usually shoot a high 90's to low 100's on a more difficult, full course...

Looking at upgrading my 10 year old Wilson Staff clubs to a decent set of Taylor Made's that I've found on special that look and feel too good to refuse...

What is the consensus on the Belair golf course. Just got an email from Crazy golf offering a voucher for 4 players to play for $60.
Is this value and is the course worth playing?

Great value, worth playing at that price.

Course is a little disappointing though. Quite short, and the greens are small and generally inconsistent. Layout is interesting though. Definitely recommend at that price

Just make sure you go when it hasn't been raining much in the lead up to your round.
A very nice course for that price though.
