I can't believe Pho Linh only scored an 11.6... outrageous!

Hoang's rated poorly too, with the following comment: Average roll, red onions, soft pork, lack of good crackilng and roll was not crunchy.

I know they went through a short patch where they went off the boil a bit, but I've never had one as bad as they've suggested.

It's my local go-to Pup stop, and everytime I've had one I'd had to get the vacuum out for all the crumbs they shed. The Pork and Crackling is very good. Hope they re-visit their reviews again next next year, because Hoangs are definitely better than that.

After being left wanting last week from my visit to Airport Road, it was back to Hangs at Torrensville today and *BANG* that's the shit.

Just had to vacuum on, around and under my desk. Roll was smashing, cut your gums to pieces material. Crackling was awesome, crunchy and thick through the roll, pork / chicken ratio bang on, the green shit all in good order and the sauces lathered on. All the fillings were just nicely chilled, no limp shredded ice berg in these bad boys, oh no, just K9 goodness.

For $4.50 that roll easily beats the much weightier Airport road counter part. More isn't always more.

4.5/5 for Hangs today. Smashed it.

Hoangs puppy salon on Tapleys Hill rd has just caused a crumb storm in my van

Simply delish...will be back

A place to avoid is one on waymouth St.....$7.50 for a combo that lacked any quality filling

Not sure if it's been mentioned - but a local to me is BAMBOO Vietnamese Foods at Redwood Park (opposite the primary school).

In this area, it's the best you can get IMHO - good price ($5) with excellent flavours and generous portions.

Well worth trying out if you are in the area.

On the flip-side, don't go to the bakery 2 minutes away at the Surrey Downs Shops, who have jumped on the Banh-Wagon (Yes, I did it) and have pre-prepared and tasteless rolls.

I went to visit the forum lads who live and work on the peninsula down at North Haven and to the bakery.
$5.50 combo
First bite lacked any filling.
However once we reached the filling it was a decent pup.
Back tomorrow and Friday.

I live round the corner and go see "Charlie" at Bamboo once a week.
Try a Vietnamese pie if you haven't already

There's been a lot of good reports on Hang Bakery Torrensville, I tried a Pork one then a couple days later a Chicken one before Xmas, I decided to wait until I gave them a 2nd go before commenting, they are average at best, ok, just

Finally tried Hewett and it was worth the wait and the hype delivered. Having a night in the Barossa and was sort of on the way.

Tons of nice warm pork and crackle, good salad blend, nice roll, tasty pate and sauce flavours and fast friendly service.

Heading back tomorrow on the way home. Top quality pups.

Just had a Vermicelli noodle salad with chicken and pork from Lemongrass
Sensational, get on board if you want the goodness of the meat but not keen for a roll!
