A wife who was brought up in a defence force and has lived in about 15 different cities in her life
Plus we both have secure full time jobs.
I think Adelaide is a very pretty city with great sightseeing but we are so far behind the times its not funny.
Like I said even in Belgium we could go out and have a sit down dinner nearly everywhere at 11pm

I think you are right, Adelaide's greatest assest can sometimes be its downfall aswell.
Its a great small city to live in but the setbacks as a small population are that we are a bit of a backwater.
Would love more restaurants to be open at all hours but we just dont have the patronage to support the costs of running a business at those hours.
Still a pretty decent place to live at the end of the day

What's a crock in that post
We have full time jobs hard to come by these days
Wife has finally settled down with her family in Adelaide so she isn't going anywhere
And in Belgium we could still eat at almost every restraunt past 11pm at night
Funnily enough while overseas more people knew off the Barossa Valley than the city of Adelaide
Anyway Queen Bee Munno Para West is a great feed

Yet overall mobile coverage in the UK especially is shithouse! 40 minutes from the centre of London on the train and 2 ******* bars of reception
For a land mass the size of Victoria with 3 times the population is terrible.

Also, to say you can't get food in Adelaide at 11pm is hilarious. Just walk down gouger st and there is so much open

Went to 1862 Wine, bar and grill in Mt. Gambier on Tuesday.
Second persons seated in the restaurant at 6.05, ordered our meals at 6.10, got two of our 3 meals at 7.30
F@cken ridiculous!!!
The food was a mixed bag
Mum had Risotto which was good
I had a fillet mignon that was excellent
The wife had Atlantic Salmon that was sh@t.
It's in the gold card section of the Ent book so we got a free main which helped but if you want to go there leave at least 2 hours. Lobster looked ok as well.
6/10

That's why I came back here to live in 2009, after my wife's death, rather the take up the other option I considered - staying in Melbourne and buying a unit in Southbank.
I still believe I made the right choice: New Years eve with friends in the theatre and journalism world in Unley Park, an old schoolmate's birthday party at his house on the beach-front at Grange on the 1st, and off to Noosa and Brissy for 9 days with a new (female) friend from the theatre set, and back in time for dinner with my group of lawyer mates a few days after my return, at a CBD restaurant.
It's great to be able to get to any area so easily.
However, I could do with a couple of nights of hitting the sack before 1am sometime soon...

Went to the Windsor on North East Road Saturday night for dinner, I had the Kangaroo and my missus had a Chicken Parmi. The Kangaroo was beautiful! Loved it and my girlfriends Parmi was massive. Good food and value for money, had a pretty good salad bar too. We just picked it randomly and it paid off. Had a great feed.
