Waste my time with my reviews.

I find them very good booney

Yes, I enjoy reading a well-constructed detailed review...

I love Booneys as well but I don't generally get time to write a big review (to busy bagging Callum Ferguson) and I'm generally on my phone which is annoying

Think of mine as more idea planters, hopefully you see the name of what will hopefully be a unique venue, then u can do a bit of research and see if it's the place for you.

Got an interview for a job there tomorrow arvo.

Ate there about 6 months ago and was reasonable enough - not outstanding but not terrible, typical BWS pub

How did the locals seem?
Its only 5 minutes from my joimt but Ive never been there.
Not sure I want it but will go along and suss it out, wouldn't be keen if I had to give up my current casual work which I love. Havent worked in a pub since August and havent overly missed it.

The restaurant/bistro made it hard to tell mate - haven't been in the front bar for years, but it was a bit seedy when I last did and from what I hear that's about the norm. Given I haven't been there much prob best not to go on any of that I spose lol

The rating will go up soon, I got a job there and theyre allowing me to keep my existing work at events (except for the Garden of Unearthly Delights as that was going to be full time for over a month)! :D

Ha ha, my daughter said something similar on Facebook!
Loving the work, after 6 months of doing nothing and 6 months of working part time Im looking forward to more hours, theres only so much you can do in the garden, only so many tv shows online you can watch and only so many safooty posters you can abuse before getting a bit bored. :P

I look forward to it! After a Foo Fighters gig last night I can handle anything. :P
Starting mainly in gaming and the bar but their front bar does close quite early most night, managed to avoid bistro which is good, not keen on being a waiter.
Its a Woolies pub too so plenty of room to get more hours if I want or move around. My boss who was the guy who interviewed me seemed pretty awesome too, I'm pretty stoked!

The Coobowie Hotel
She’s an old school country pub - just how I like’m.
The missus wasn’t real impressed with place at first (old decor, outdoor toilet...) she would’ve preferred to eat at the Troubridge Hotel in Edithburgh where we were earlier. Their prices seemed steep which has come about with the closure of The Edithburgh Hotel across the road - one pub town now (when did this happen???)
Anyways, we made our way through the bar to the bistro which has two areas. We chose where you could look out at the water. The missus also noted the plastic outdoor furniture we were seated at, the cutlery in paper bags, and disposable paper table cloths. I’m thinking if the grub’s no good, I’m going to be hearing about this for a long time...
Well well well, if their was humble pie on the dessert menu I would’ve ordered my wife an extra large piece.
She had a chicken parmy which she said was excellent, it was almost the size of a house brick, breast cooked perfectly with excellent cheese/nap sauce ratio. Fresh coleslaw, a very tasty pasta salad, tomatoes, cucumber & other assorted rabbit food - chips on the side.
I had the battered butterfish, 2 huge pieces cooked in a superb beer batter, plenty of chips & salad also.
Both kids had nuggets & a heap of chips - no complaints there either.
“Never judge a book by its cover” I may have smugly let slip mid meal.
Highly recommended 8.5/10

Yes it’s nothing flash but a good old school pub.

I had the calamari snitzel last time I was there.
Never had it before anywhere but it was great.

Is that a whole schnitzel made only from calamari?

I bought one at the Kingsford once thinking it was a chicken schnitty with calamari on the roof.

It was very over-bearing and I was sick later that night, it took me about 5 years to be able to stomach calamari again.
