explain your signature

every now and then i come across a signature that is very witty and other times ones that are stupid or make no sense to me, i've often wondered 'what the heck does that mean? so if, like me, you would like to know what other peoples signatures are about or care to share your funny stories then please do. im sure this could be quite funny or on the other hand very boring, i choose option 1.

my signature is an excerpt from a critical incident report at work. this was one staff members way of dealing with some unacceptable behaviour from a young person in a residential care environment. i don't think it was very effective...

Great thread.

Mine is an excerpt from "If I Had My Way" by Supergroove. I wanted it as a tattoo, but my wife kiboshed that idea...

Mine is a quote from Barney from the TV series "How I met your Mother".

Psyber is a variation on cyber and has connections with both my involvement in a computer company in Melbourne, and my work in psychological medicine there at the time. As a variation on cyber it hints at moving from automated systems to mind control and that joke appealed to me.
Some of my patients worked it out and were amused by it.

It also relates to my preparedness to extend my life in a cybernetic body, if possible when the organic form wears out, and that is what my avatar is about.

Whats that got to do with "EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!"?

Nothing.
It is a separate issue.

Lamarck was an evolutionary scientist whose views were pushed aside by the then scientific community in favour of those of Darwin.
Darwin attributed all change to random chance mutation and its spread over time, whereas Lamarck contended changes happened too fast for that to be the whole answer and acquired changes must be able to be passed on genetically. His views were derided by "scientific consensus" at the time and he could not prove them.

The new science of Epigenetics demonstrates that he was right and how it works.
He should be remembered whenever those who challenge current "scientific consensus" are being ridiculed.

My first one is a translated Latin phrase made popular after being a quote my favourite movie, V for Vendetta

The other is quite obvious, the motto of my football club.

Not Fort Battle-Axe!
She's so illiterate she was hoping for a sample of your enormous *sigh-bar*.
Utterly frustrated, she's now back on the broom, giving me splinters and I can't find 17 cucumbers & 3 vacuum cleaners.
:-\
Luv your work, but HELP !

Sabre.

My current signature comes from a post on a classic video game forum I used to post on (NERD ALERT!!!!!!)

Some dickhead on there broke the "world record" on some obscure game and kept on whining because the whole gaming community weren't dancing in the streets because of his accomplishment. The way he carried on would be like me winning an egg and spoon race and expecting the same Nike sponsorship as Usain Bolt. My signature is the last line in one of the posts in that thread.

That's a cool idea.
