Yes, the duopoly is a joke. Not even the enterprise loving Yanks permit such a two-pronged domination of the market.

I hear that ALDI are about to open 4 stores in early February, and Foodland are undertaking a considerable expansion as well. This should provides some competition in the metro area, unfortunately it probably won't translate out into the regions.

Spending the night in hospital with my 3 year old daughter. Breaks your heart.

Certainly puts life in perspective tho. To often we worry and stress about the most unimportant things and forget how lucky we are at times.

Terrible news Carey, my heart goes out to your family.

My dad (61) was taken to hospital in an Ambulance last night, first thoughts he had a minor heat attack but luckily that was ruled out. He has fluid in his lungs which has come about from medication he's taking to lower his blood pressure. He's on alot of medication lately and has been ill since mum and him came back from their cruise holiday last week. He was ment to be having a hip replacement this coming Monday but it looks as though that will be cancelled. Been waiting for a year for the surgery (He should of got it done 10 years ago but that's another story).

Mum went and saw him this afternoon and my sister just got off the phone to him and he seems fine.

My 4 and a half year old did the same. Dropped the dog off at the vet for a teeth clean then came home with the missus to an eerily quiet house.

Attended the funeral for a workmate who was burying her son today.

A tough time for their family and a situation I hope I am never in.

I don't know this band, and they're probably not my cup of tea, but this is a tragic accident in anyone's language.
