Because it's a beautiful place full of beautiful people. The Balinese people don't have much in the way of what our society regards as wealth, but THE VAST MAJORITY put a smile on their face and treat you with respect.
Shame the only news that's ever reported is bad and people rely on that to make their decisions. Pull your head out of the sand and realise there's much more to life than what's reported in the mainstream media.
I'd go back there again in a heartbeat.

The bouncers side of the story is the laidleys were fighting on the dance floor so the bouncers jumped in to help/break it up and then it escelated.

I'm with you Bartman. Never been there, have no desire too, why would anyone want to?

I am a bit this way too. Have heaps of mates who have been there and love it, but I have no desire to go there. I guess my idea of a holiday isnt lounging in a pool sucking back average beer. I can lounge around sucking down good beer right here, without needing flights and accomodation!

Yep. I'd rather see FNQ more, or Broome etc etc. But hey, each to their own.

I know the likes of Quichey, who have travelled extensively will probably see Bali as a small step in the travel game but for mine I have no desire to see any country even remotely third-world like as far as poverty and lifestyle of the locals go.

Tough to say. We couldn't convince him to move here full-time for the money on offer, but, I think and have heard he was very much a professional and did his job very well.
