Nope, the bit you've got wrong is listening to the dumpster next door so intently. ;)

It pisses me off when they come in when I'm baking, I always wait until both thrones are vacant before beginning my business

Depends....... Lady at my work does camel sh*ts and needs to flush after each entry to avoid filling the bowl.
*I have never been in the women's toilet but this is what other staff have said.

I wonder how the other staff know about her toilet habits?

Women love to tell about other women's flaws in the workplace, they've probably seen a few floaters over time and nailed it down to the culprit.

True. In a former workplace a female colleague told me whom she suspected had smeared shit on the walls inside one of the ladies' cubicles.

Settlement for the house my partner and I bought was November 19. Just received a water bill for the period of August 24 - November 28. Do I have to pay off someone else's water bill or do I pass it on to the previous owners?

They would've paid a ratio of it through the conveyancer, it's your bill now.

Your conveyancer would have paid the % owing at the time your house was settled(from memory)

How would the conveyancer know what was owing?

They would calculate the average bills and work out a percentage of when settlement was.

I got a quote from a company - $220 for initial treatment; $145 for follow up 6 weeks later.

Anyone got a view on whether that is a competitive price, or suggestions about who would be a good company to go through?

I have been dealing with Rats all my life being an aviculturist.
The problem is where are they coming from you can kill them and they will come back. Get rid of the food source and use Ratsack is a cheaper option.

My neighbour has an almond tree, an apricot tree and is wheelchair bound. His back corner is over grown and a haven for vermin.

My back neighbour is a lazy **** whose backyard resembles some scrub with two old woodsheds down the back. Both of them are adjacent / connected to my nice big, new, dry and warm shed.

I had rat problems, would see one a week and smell them every time I went into the shed. Long time but now part time forumite Punk Rooster looks after my pest control problems and his baiting stations have worked a treat. I've had to remove two big fat **** from the shed who had bitten the big one and I don't have the smell so much anymore.

Constant baiting is the key. PM sent GWW.

Is Punky still in the pest control business?

I have the same problem next door, it's now unoccupied because the owners have recently moved into a nursing home, they have a fig and an apple tree, which partly drapes over my fence.

I've seen 2 rats, who tease my cat by running along the top of my fence into the apple tree, then jump onto next doors rainwater tank and into their roof.

2 weeks ago, one lost balance and fell into my side of the yard. It lasted about 10 seconds. I'll tell you what, for a 14 year old cat, Jackie still moves bloody fast

So whilst Jackie was playing with this almost dead rat, the other rat was watching from the apple tree, with a mini apple in it's mouth. I warned him that this would be him if he hangs around. I let Jackie play with her catch for a while, lord knows it's the most exciting thing that's happened to her for 2 years, poor thing. I stopped her once she bit it's head off though. In the bin it went.

Funnily enough, i haven't seen the other rat since. I have no doubt he's still around though.
My problem is, is that i'm fairly comfortable that they won't get into my place or roof, however I don't want to go chucking ratsack around incase another one falls into the yard and Jackie eats it when I'm not home.

I'd probably need to find a petsafe solution If I found they're still around the place.

Now I just have bees instead (in the same neighbours tree)

Geez a cat getting teased by another animal? That's a shame.
