Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I could probably get it cheaper but this guy has been quick as and is really reliable and removing this dirt has been stressful so I'm kind of over it

Anyone here insulated a shed?

Thinking of turning our back yard shed (10 x 5 m approx) into a mancave and would be interested if anyone has ballpark figures of what to expect/who to contact for quotes etc.

Would be looking at gyprock + insulation, and possibly laying some carpet/other flooring as well.

Shed is on a concrete slab, 4 years old.

Cheers!

Mixed waste is very expensive to dispose of. If it was clean fill then bang it would be as cheap as chips to get rid of it.

Dirt with foreign waste objects must be sifted to get all the crap out of it which is then disposed of as rubbish. The dirt is then able to be reused provided is has no other nasty chemicals in it.

That quote was definatly excessive, we have had another 4 companies go out and quote us and they all put the cost at between $500-700 on average they say the standard price is around $110 per tonne for non clean soil.

Luckily for us a friend of a friend on facebook went and took a look and has said he will remove the lot for $250-$300.

He says he will do it on Saturday if all goes well ill give out his name and definatly recommend him.

Anyone know a good "roofer" to supply and install one of those "whirly" vents?

Also, wondering what is the best type/brand to have installed?

I'm looking to hire a mini skip for household rubbish including furniture etc etc.

Only looking for a smallish skip around the 2-3m mark.

Want to get it in early in the morning and gone that afternoon

Anyone know a reliable cheap company that do this.

Really important they are reliable it's rare for me to get a day off work so the day I ask for is the day I need.

Out that way you should put it in a big pile out the front and then put a bike chain lock around it. It'll be gone by the arvo.

Ok, anyone that knows someone will come in handy here:

Just got a quote for retaining walls - $23k (and almost died)

has anyone had retaining walls done? Who did you use, were they any good and was the price ok?

Does this sound like a decent price (for anyone in the know?)

FYI (using concrete sleepers with galvanised posts and doesn't include fencing)

High side wall: 1.6m x 17m
back wall: 1m x 17.5m
low side: 2 walls, one at the back thats 700m x approx 3m and then one at the front which is about 820mm x approx 4m (the garage wall is in between)
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Had our handover inspection today for the house we built.

Went pretty well witht he only major issue being the dodgy paving job the contractors did. The site manager from Hickinbotham was disgraced by it (paving was done yesterday he only saw it today) he was ringing the blokes boss to give them a spray.

Other than that there is nothing more than very small issues.

We should be sorted by next friday and able to start moving in then.

Cant wait.

If the paving looks shithouse now it will go downhill rapidly from here. Check it when the rain comes this weekend.
