Our idiot goes into the same spot every night, one where he's not allowed, I squirt him with the water bottle, he screams off, cleans himself and sits somewhere else. The same circus will unfold around 7pm again tonight.

cats aren't stupid, they are jerks and they do this sh*t to piss you off on purpose... Cats don't think they are pets, they think you are their pet

I made it clear I will not be scraping shit out of gravel in a tray and I can honestly say I have not done this once, I refuse to.

I will occasionally put some crunchies in his bowl of a morning so he will STFU while I have my breakfast, I'm not cruel.

I've trained my cat to never jump on the bench and to leave my penguin tree the F*** alone.

She has never caused any issues.

It won't happen overnight, but it will happen. Training takes time

Speaking of cats, we have chickens which really are like pets. Walk into the backyard and they follow us around in a single line.

There is a cat at night that tries to get inside the barn that houses our chickens (formerly a cubby house). Anyone know what my rights are regarding this said cat? I catch it, which I will, what am I allowed/not allowed to do?

Call your council. Pretty sure they lend out traps, and you can take the cat in to them.

Do it as humanely as possible though. Its not the cats fault their owners a f**kin idiot allowing it out.

Just read my councils rules.

If you catch a cat, and know where it lives, you need to return it to its owner. If you don't know where it lives, you take it to the AWL.

I wouldn’t ‘put it to sleep’, that’s not me..... unless it does get my chickens. Then it’s war!

Wasn’t sure if I was allowed to trap it and send it away to the council etc

I’ve Checked my council website but it doesn’t say

Just had a gander. Couldn't find anything either. Charles Sturt has a lot less bullshit on their site, and also the answer to your question.

Chickens v Cats
I'm conflicted!
Cats usually win but chickens can suprise every 27 years or so.

But there needs to be 19 of them in the coop to engineer that surprise...

I hired a trap from Salisbury Council a couple of years ago. I was told if you catch a cat with a collar it needs to be released immediately.

I've been dealing with a customer on a couple of little jobs in recent months, I had dealt with him before when he worked for another company and whilst he was hard work he was alright to work with, usually made some good margins on the jobs.

His new company, employer, is an absolute flog of this highest order, the type of bloke who swears, rants and raves and thinks it will bring him some favors. Not with me it won't.

They've picked up another job and wanted to give us the order, only a small job that I won't miss, just had the pleasure of telling him we aren't interested in the project. He completely lost his shit, went absolutely off his head. I wished him a good day and hung up.

He's just called my boss to complain, my boss went with "I'm 100% behind *Booneys* decision here, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day".

He's just tried both our mobiles 3 times.

I dare say that the chickens will deal with the cat themselves and said cat will stay away once its been attacked
