I really lack the motivation at that time of day, especially on a Monday.

It certainly does once you start seeing results. I've now lost 23kgs I still go every morning (although I didn't today as I'm sore from footy Saturday) I'm now no longer looking at losing weight so to speak just maintaining a fitness level and gaining some strength.

But as I said once you start seeing results it really drove me to keep going. A bloke I've known for 3 years at golf didn't believe it was me on Saturday!

Plus I find it a lot easier at that time of the morning than the afternoon.

Yep i go at 4 30am, have lost 20kgs. Ive platued a bit with the weight loss, starting to think im doing too many weights. I go 5-6 times a week, 30 mins on the cross trainer with interval training and then usually 4 or 5 weights exercises focusing on one part of the body for about 25=30mins
Any advice??

Best advice on weigh training mate is @Q he is a guru at this type of thing. I'm pretty simple with the minimal weight training I do. Concentrate on one part of the body and never do it 2 days in a row. I never do weight training on weekends. My reps right or wrong are-

I start with a Rep of 15, then up the weights and a rep of 12, up the weights then a rep of 10, I then go back to the original weight I started at and bust out a real quick rep of 10. If I can complete the 3 set (1st 10) easily I'll up the starting weight the next time. I also try to change excerises up but still constrating on the same part of the body if that makes sense.

But as I said Q would be your man here mate.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

You've lost 20 kgs which means you'll need to adjust your baseline calorie intake to match your new weight.

Want to lose more weight? Either decrease your caloric input or increase your caloric output. TBH it will be easier eating 500 less calories per day then it will be trying to burn 500 with exercise.

All this talk of running marathons and hitting the gym at 4am is quite clearly quite disturbing to the man who devours lager at a rate to suggest its going out of fashion

No need for all that health talk to make us feel bad!

Tell me about it, the CC's were flowing nicely last night, not so much this morning at 5:15 on some rowing thingy at the gym.

Mind you, I love running, I could watch it all day.

Which bar they might be referring to as "AA Runners" at Titanium Security Arena.
I just picked up a gig working there next Tuesday night for the I Love the 90s concert there.
So much for my retirement, will be working next Tues, Thurs and Fri at a concert, a soccer game and a footy game!

"AA Runners" - That's the bar I go to, we're all running from Alcoholics Anonymous.
