Plenty of cricket comps out there with a simlar number of teams that seem to run ok on a volunteer basis.
I just think its ridiculous that clubs have to pay to host a final. Would it even be worth it for the extra few parents and grandparents that turn up.

Few extra parents? Home finals are generally pretty massive and very profitable.

Very profitable?
Obviously you would make a bit over the bar and canteen but what is the max ammount of cars most grounds can hold? Having not seen all grounds do all have car parking?

Parking would vary wildly from ground to ground. Some ovals you can park around, others you can't at all.

So the ones with zero parking would the bar takings cover the $1000 shelled out?
I havnt been to a lower div final for many years so seriously dont know what type of crowd size they get. As long as clubs make some money it sounds like its worth it though

Do you need council approval to alter/improve a front boundary fence to a residential property?
Currently brickwork & wrought iron that I want to fill in and render. There is no increase in height or width.

I love a good reading of the flag act.

No flying flags at night, unless lit from below...etc etc.

What to do next Saturday!!!

The rugby team I play for is in a second semi final, I'm out injured though

Centrals playing South in essentially and elimination final

Eastern Park vs Salisbury div4 elongation final

Too many choices

I think you should go support/help out the team you play for.
