I'm not sure how you could possibly compare running 66 clubs and 120 odd teams to running 8 or 10 in a tiny country league and then scratch your head as to why its not a part time venture

Plenty of cricket comps out there with a simlar number of teams that seem to run ok on a volunteer basis.
I just think its ridiculous that clubs have to pay to host a final. Would it even be worth it for the extra few parents and grandparents that turn up.

Few extra parents? Home finals are generally pretty massive and very profitable.

Obviously you would make a bit over the bar and canteen but what is the max ammount of cars most grounds can hold? Having not seen all grounds do all have car parking?

I havnt been to a lower div final for many years so seriously dont know what type of crowd size they get. As long as clubs make some money it sounds like its worth it though
