What is the standard price of a 'city' pint these days.

The everyday price we have at our local for a XXXX, GN, West End etc is $8 but still have the old Friday Night happy hour for $5.

I dont drink too much these days so no idea how that compares.

I get pissy if it's over 10 bucks, but normally between $9 and $12.

Some places do a good Friday drinks deal, Harry's Bar has $7 pints, wine & base spirits between 4 and 6

$8 in my local front bar.....fck the city

$8.50 at the Metropolitan Hotel, Grote Street, $6.50 happy hours.

Others in the real centre of the CBD exceeding $10.

$8-10 in the suburbs, $10-12 closer to the beach.

My local has $7 Imperials 4-6 weekdays and 12-6 weekends.

Hendon, all taps ( excluding South Coast ) so Pale, WED, Carlton Draught, Super Dry, Great Northern.

5-7pm* not 4-6, sorry.

What's the most you've spent on a drink?

Last year I had to travel to Egypt and Dubai for work, and Egypt I had a beer in the hotel lobby... $25AUD. Then in Dubai, had a single shot of 12 yr old scotch.... $40AUD. There is a reason they dont drink in those countries!

$58 for 5 Budweisers in Singapore with the dollars basically on parity.

I found Sydney and Canberra the same price as us but yeah in Melbourne I was paying up to $19 for an Imp pint but it was a public holiday so they were adding surcharges.

SA really should get with the program on drink sizes.

Imperials are really what should be a pint. What we call a pint isn't a pint.

Next week when I get on the Floating Disney land out of Melbourne and I have to pay US dollars!
