yes, just been through similar experience. was almost dreading taking her out into Adelaide traffic as inevitably in the early days in particular they will stall or do something not quite right. Sure enough she stalls attempting to move off on a green arrow. 5 seconds to start her up, no probs, but peanut behind still honks the horn. Had another experience where she was basically blocked from safely changing lanes despite indicating well in advance.
After some expensive driving lessons she is technically very good but obviously lacks experience.

I think the no of responses I've received to this reassures me that it's not just me that expected numpties on the road.

Sad that it came to that in your situation and it does put the wind up the kids. The one thing that's common is that, as teachers, we will all say the same thing - there are d*heads out on the road and you need to have your wits about you.

Two weeks he's come up with an excuse every day why he couldn't come, I was getting a little annoyed, he tried to smooth it over by apologising and saying he'd look after the price..... finally rocked up today, spent a total of 57 minutes at my house.. and sent me the bill for $230.00 #-O

Just leave it mate.

Yes walk away...

There is one VIP garden service guy in the hills who charges like that and mostly works for land agents on rental properties. The local older guy I use mows, trims, and weed sprays my 3/4 acre home block for about $140. Guess who does my rental property too!

Traffic being back at pre COVID levels this week. is the City back to almost normal now? Extra 15 -20 minutes travel time

One bus stop i drive past daily usually has 3-4 people at it, today around 15.

Nowhere near it, wont be getting back to pre-covid levels anytime soon, if ever. Perhaps its just school resuming this week

Popped out for a walk and some lunch. Got back to work to find the power had gone. Employees were streaming out of the site.

Stuck around for a bit. Sorted out some offline issues. After 45 minutes or so, thought I'd done all the useful things I could, and decided to go home early.

Literally one second after I made this decision the power came back on.

FML.

Pick up trip home took 15-20 minutes at most last year...today? 35 minutes with no roadworks or accidents. WTF is going on. Wet weather?

I get paid at 8pm on the 7th of every month, last night's pay will be my last monthly pay and what do you know, it hasn't cleared thanks to people's choice f****** things up again.

I was eager to see it as I have to work out a budget differently as I leave here on the 28th, I'll be going to weekly pays as of then.

It's annoying as I am supposed to send off a screeenshot of my bank accounts for a separate matter, the account always looks a bit healthier the day a months worth of spondoola gets chucked in it.

All banks or all credit unions? Anyone here who's in a bank got paid and all those in credit unions didn't, I get some money chucked into an ANZ account and that went through on time.

Well I'm going to be for a direct debit that I missed, I have an account that my direct debits come out of, I used the wrong card while I was out the other day and left the account a bit skint as I have never not been paid on the the 7th for the past 199 months.

Seems unusual in this day and age to be paid weekly.
