Had Foxtel crash this afternoon, did all the reset rubbish and nothing

Son comes home at 2.00pm and says there a cable laying across the road, go outside can see its obviously the Foxtel cable plus still had internet, normal TV and phone.

Ring Foxtel told 45 minute wait so thought stuff it and went on line and tried to report it, spoke to a computer (typing) that after giving my account details said i dont exists, typed back had Foxtel for over 15 years so this make out voice gives me a number to ring.

Turns out it's Telstra, they now tell me its not their problem and give me a number for Foxtel to ring which was the one for before

Anyway rang back 90 minutes later after explaining the problem i get told we will book a technician to come out and see you but it sounds like your Foxtel box needs upgrading.

Locky lost his cool went ape at this guy who had no idea, again told him, Foxtel line has snapped off the power pole opposite nothing to do with my Foxtel box but did not compute and told again he will book a technician which i said dont bother and hung up. Strangely then got a SMS text saying technician has been booked for 25 February, cant wait for my call to them tomorrow to cancel my account, thank heavens for Kayo

Rant over

One of my guilty pleasures is a can of Kirks sugar free Pasito or Lemonade with my lunch.

I went to re-stock last night and noticed that the price has jumped from $6.50 to $11 for a ten pack, how can they hike up so much in the one hit?

Water with lunch now for me.

I see they made a comeback.

I converted to soda water and dehydrating my own fruit, although it's been a few weeks since I've had a drink.

Yeah the wife drinks soda water that’s why we have one
The cola isn’t too bad mixed with some dirty whiskey or rum though

I've been here for nearly 6 hours so far today without too much interaction.

I go heat my lunch up and bring it back to my office and I've had 4 different people come in to discuss random crap that is non-essential right now or even today!

Short of telling them to f*** off I couldn't have looked any less interested.

I thought I’d struggle with working from home having no interaction on a daily basis face to face.
It’s turned out great coz I don’t have to talk to morons I don’t like and I can still phone, chat or email people that I do like.

Yeah, I'm not sure on how long I could cope.

I'm used of being on my own now, the lad will stay with me for a few weeks and it's all good, but I don't mind when he stays at his old girls either.

It always seems to be the day I go out and buy a whole heap of chocolates, chips and ice creams he doesn't come home that night and I don't see him for a week or so, I end up eating all the shit.

Now I just don't buy it.

Tiger time mate!!!!

Terminology we use in our workplace where someone has a task that just has to be done to meet a deadline with zero distraction. No contact to be made with them unless it business critical.

Works really well provided staff use when appropriate, normally I will go spend a couple of minutes at the start of the day to get the welcoming chat out the way with the staff and then let them know I'm on tiger time for the day or a section of the day. Why Tiger time.....that time is precious, protect it like a tiger protects its cub.

Corny AF I know but it really works.
