While I am happy to have finally gotten into see a knee surgeon, why is it these specialists are always running late with their appointments?

Fairly anxious about the outcome.... my referring GP did not fill me with much optimism. I’m hoping it’s just a clean out required not anything more serious. All sporting endeavours currently on hold until I see this bloke.

No surgery required..... yet. Prime candidate for knee replacement but I’m a bit to young!

Early arthritis plus plenty of wear & tear. Loose weight he said!

No cricket this summer

Good news + bad, shit about the cricket.

My brother had a bad motor bike accident 20+ years ago and wrecked his left knee, he's now in his early 50's, his surgeon told him a few years back "No point doing the knee replacement now, you'll need another one before you're dead and doing them in your 70's hurts too much. We'll wait until you're closer to 60 and you probably won't need another one".

Facts.

Funny story.... when chatting to the surgeon he asked about sports. I mentioned cricket... hmm he said. Then asked if I suffered any lower back pain as well. Yes I replied, sometimes I do. He then let on he looks after the Paki’s when they come to Australia and said Inzaman has similar issues. **** me, I do need to loose some weight..... as I tuck into lunch and a Carlton Draught!

Yep I got told 2 years ago at 46 I needed a knee replacement but Im way too young, I had a full knee reco at 21. I manage it now with bike riding, the more I do the less issues I have with it. My view is also to put it off as long as possible, Im sure the technology will get better the longer I can hold it off also.

My Step-Dad had an experimental polymer knee replacement done about 18 months ago, nothing but trouble and about to go back for a conventional one. Had nothing but grief from his hamstring at the back of the knee.

Absolute f#ckwits I’ve dealt with today;
- moron tries to enter a lift as I’m coming* out, gets in a huff because I didn’t give way to him, I called him clueless & ignorant - wasn’t appreciated

- arse clown, mid thirties in the supermarket on his mobile not paying attention, runs into woman with his trolley. Gives her a fair shove, she’s visibly shaken. He barely looks back, I yell out that he needs to apologise & learn some respect. “And you’re going to show me?” he laughs. Here we go.
With this two shop employees converge with haste, they’re both big blokes. They pretty much order him to apologise or he can leave the his trolley right there & be escorted out of the shop. He told them to stick it & left. The woman was ok in the end.

- gutter pig two cars in front of me at the lights drops a coffee cup full of cigarette butts out his window, sped off when light went green

So many arseh*les, so few bullets...

A positive outcome in the supermarket, though. A cockface, yes, but at least by you taking action there was some sort of a silver lining in the end.

Sam Newman, Mike Sheahan and Don Scott saying Nicky Winmar's iconic stance against racism was actually a reference to St Kilda "having guts and having heart" not showing pride in his aboriginality.

Mike Sheahan is doing himself irreparable damage associating with the f*ckwit.

IIRC, it's some sort of WW1 memorial. Not sure what it's got to do with colonisation.
