I’m an avid weather observer, however I can honestly say that I have never recalled or seen any weather systems coming directly through from the Bordertown/Horsham vicinity towards Adelaide as it is doing right now.

Speaking of unusual weather patterns, late Nov/early Dec 2010 there was a squall line that went directly west from the border, but once it went over the ranges, it turned to light rain only. There was on another day around this time (during the Ashes Test) a rainband which came from the NNE. You used to be able to search radar archives to find this stuff, but like most things, once the archive/site gets larger, the paywall descends.

It's definitely the 2010 match I was mentioning, which finished before the continuing saga between Botham and Chappell as well as the storms which would have washed out the game after lunch.

Isn't Kenya equatorial though?
Neither means rains or heat, they just relate to the temperature of the Pacific's Ocean and if its warmer or cooler. Affects different countries in relation to the Pacific with global atmospheric circulation I'd imagine?
