I guess it’s like time stands still for a bit. I too remember exactly when I heard my parents had passed away and one was 43 years ago

Yep and there's a special place reserved in hell for Arseholes who park in designated bike-lanes during the same time period

Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits
My Hero - Foo Fighters

Songs played at funerals for 2 amazing humans taken way before their time, every time I hear them I'm a mess

Fair play too if your aware of Dave Grohl's motivation for My Hero....

Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain- Willie Nelson rips my heart out and throws it against the wall whenever I hear that song for similar reasons.

Just reciting that bit in my head gives me chills as I hear it on crackly vinyl.

One of my best mates growing up took his own life at a young age following a relationship split that shook him up pretty badly.

He was an aboriginal lad, grew up as a half back flanker and then became an absolute freak at full forward winning association goal scoring awards, a nicer bloke you'd never meet.

Life is one big lesson and songs remind us of what made us.

Cannot stay awake longer than 15 minutes once I flick the recliner back into position at the moment.

Usually sit down once the day is done around 7:30, it's lights out within 15 minutes.

Might be time to download a sleep tracking app to record you unconscious activities in bed.....you might have sleep apnea!

Then you might need an appointment with a sleep specialist to confirm but I'm sure they would be grateful for some rough data before wiring you up to sleep at their facility for the night!

I have the same issue but I'm more like 930-1000pm. I also have three kids under 15, a wife that works full time too and run >50km a week so a fair reason for it!

I sleep fine through the night, just drop off the perch as soon as I'm comfy. Gas heating doesn't help, winter sucks.

I've punched out walking 20km's+ 5 weeks in a row now, usually 4x5k'ers per week.
