Missing the bigger issue here IMO, starting the Mens marathon at 8:00 am Gold Coast time - broad sunlight and humidity levels at 80-90%.

The marathon should've started at 6:00 am like they did in Brisbane in 82.

Yeah CH7 commentator was quite upset about the late start to it, I'm guessing it started late to suit TV time slots which was quite ironic again.
