I think the cheesegrater is a horribly ugly building - but I'm a bit old fashioned apparently.

When I lived in London always made me chuckle looking at the 'Giant Gherkin'......

Sadly, this morning I saw the demoliton crew there.

Why is Adelaide so quick to get rid of all it's beautiful old buildings and replace them the big ugly ones?

Isn't that what you do to oncoming traffic when there's a radar on the other side of the road?

I hope to God I am never a part of said oncoming traffic.

i actually just took it as a sign that they werent interested in insuring the type of car we bought, so deliberately priced themselves out of the market, our previous vehicle certainly wasnt that far above other companies.

I just got some good figures from SGIC, on both my cars, with protected rating 1 included. Another gain is the fact they are prepared to cover my 1996 Audi under their veteran and vintage category so long as its mileage is under 9000Km per year, which gives me a lower excess, and an agreed value at twice Red Book figures, comparable with UK selling prices for the model, for about half the premium I currently pay APIA for market value.

Multi-policy discounts will bring both down further if I transfer all my insurance.
I need to read the fine print though...

I recall they were the best quote when I had an Alfa GTV6, but I had to move on when I traded that for a more expensive make and their figures blew out.

Thats just encouraging insurance fraud.

I can see that may happen, but they looked up the Audi while I was on the phone and accessed prices they are being offered at.
There were two for sale in the UK, and one in Victoria, on offer at similar prices, which I'd already found.
I'm not sure whether they ask you to prove the mileage.
I guess I'll find out if I go ahead with it...

If you're on a limited mileage policy, you will be asked to prove in the event of a claim.

There shouldn't be a problem with their 9000 Km per year limit, as the Audi has averaged just over 5000 Km per year since 2002 and that includes a motoring trip to Bundaberg, and back in a loop down the coast and through Coomera and Mt Tambourine during 2010.

My Suzuki GV3 has averaged 8000Km per year since I bought it in November 2011.
