SA has pinched the MotoGP from the Vics

A bit stunning that they’d let it go, it’s an iconic track.

Will obviously be at The Bend, formal announcement tomorrow. Just pure coincidence that there’s a State election next month.

Weren’t the Vic’s told to move it from Phillip Island or lose it?

Yeah, the organisers wanted it at Albert Park and the VIC government weren’t willing to spend the required money.

Have also heard that the Superbikes might also head to the Bend

Seeing the doctor yesterday to get all of my test results back from a recent full service.

Doc said all of my numbers are in the excellent range, must admit that I was pretty nervous heading in thanks to a pretty wild December/January.

Pretty stoked TBH.

Absolutely regarding the Moto GP. Some people are having a crack at Pete for making this announcement just before an election - He doesn’t need this to win in an absolute landslide and I’m a traditional Liberal voter. This is years in the making from Sam, Charlie and Yasser and Victoria fell asleep at the wheel. Sell off OTR and all of a sudden you have a lot more money to play with. It won’t happen yet given the track needs a lot more work to make it up to scratch for F1 but Victoria should be very nervous about keeping that too as they’ll be coming for it.
