Couple of hours later - during which the lights vary from dim to barely working - the power goes off completely again.

15 minutes later, back on again, and the lights seem to be normal.

Guess that means they fixed it - until the next weather front passes over....

It's an odd radar...seems like the rain cells are forming above certain areas, not rolling in from any particular direction.

Just started raining around Ascot Park area

I live 5 minutes out of town and its been fine all day, spent most of the day walking around too! :?

Accoring to the BOM that's the only place that got anything decent.
Only 0.6mm in the CBD which was next highest!

Inches of hail on the ground - looks like snow. Incredible...freeway outbound diverted through eagle on the hill.
