Highway Inn last Friday for a work show
22 of us tucked in to some pretty good food.
I went the Chicken Parmy and my actual schnitty was pretty bloody good.
A decent size, thick and tender (bit like what I used to pull at Lennies back in the day
) and cooked so the crumbing was just right (not to doughy and not cremated)
A negative on the parmy was that the Neapolitana sauce and ham was scarce so it was basically a cheese topping (sauce may have soaked into the schnitty whilst under the bae marie).
Everyone else liked their food bar the girl who ordered a pizza where it came back undercooked. I personally reckon pubs should give up on Pizzas (see my review on the Holdy from July) as they can't get their grills hot enough to do them right. Another negative from those who had the pork belly was that it was sensation but should have been three portions of pork not two.
Overall a good feed, certainly above average for the pubs I've tried recently around Adelaide.
Four pints of WED ($28) and a Chicken Parmy came to $51 for me.
A solid 7.5
