Things finally starting to wind down at work. The past 6 weeks have been frantic. Semi Retired, my arse.

Mildura?
Time is worth more than money in my eyes.

I could very easily spend a week alone in a straw hut in the middle of nowhere away from everyone and technology.

You would miss us too much

We're a strange breed, the missus rings or facetimes me while she's away as she thinks I'm sad and depressed about being home alone, I'm in my f***** element, crack a beer whatever time I want, the house is immaculate and there are no egg shells on the floor.

Mildura?
Yeah, Mildura, her family, we station ourselves at her mum's where I spend my time on the back porch drinking and doing crosswords to pass the time, we'll go visit the rest of the family individually as they don't all talk to each other.
I'm a bit of a homebody, we just moved last week so I still have a ton of shit to set up and unpack, I hate having to organize someone to feed the dog and water the plants while we're away, last time we went all of my veggies died.
My life is pretty full on with work and kids sports, I have very little free time on weekends and most days I set sail for work around 6:30am and don't get home til 7ish with trainings, pick ups and drop off, I appreciate time to unwind, sleep in and recharge my batteries. I'm run down, permanently tired and sick of my life being so over committed yet there's nothing I can do about it.
Time is worth more than money in my eyes.

Why anyone would want to go to Mildura more than once a year is beyond me

He looks her in the eye, he holds her hand and says "I know this is hard, it's hard on all of us, but.....can we still remain cousins?"

Sounds very much like my Mrs, I enjoy my time alone and have no need for company for days, however wife is the exact opposite. In February she is going on a cruise from Outer Harbor for 3 days with the girls, cannot wait!
