No one can come up with one good reason not to have the app, its not going to make any negative difference to someones life, but may help save yours, your loved ones or someone in the communities life...

Havent download it as yet, we havent had a single case in Clare and im literally going between my house and work place at the moment which has no one in it.

Don't buy into the government are using it to get our details........they already have all that through every other mean available, never mind what Facebook etc etc are doing with my info. Im actually not to fussed about my info being out there provided my money stays in my bank.

Will most likely download in the next 24 hours but probably havent had that sense of urgency others may have had.

Four weeks ago yes I might have considered down loading the app.

But now when SA has just about killed the CV makes no sense why bother.

Quite possibly might play a part in restrictions getting lifted sooner

I sent my year 11 son back today, out of the approximately 200 kids in year 11 32 turned up. My son is doing a couple of subjects that he cannot do online so that’s why I urged him to go back

I tried but the app is not compatible with my ancient hardware. I'm not upgrading a phone that I am comfortable with just so I can use this one app. So I'm a NO, although I wanted to be a YES.

I've done it, wasn't really phased - i'm not going anywhere still, and doubt it'll have much impact on me but meh what harm can be done.

Those freaking out about tracking or privacy pfft spare me - FB, your phone etc they all listen and track you anyway.. hell my phone even knows when i'm "at home" or "work" even though I've never actually put anything in my phone that would label/save those locations.

I am more than happy to get it, but this is what worry's me.

I have an I-phone, do I need to have Bluetooth on permanently for it to work, and then as a result will the battery run low quickly. Already have a sus battery that needs charging all the time!

Don't buy into all the conspiracy theories so would definitely have it otherwise.

What I love is all the people that are saying that their privacy is being invaded and they don't want to be tracked but in the other breath, they downloaded the children tracker to spy on their teenagers

Not everyone uses FB so using that comparison is irrelevant about your privacy.
Not everyone has a compatible phone either.

I’m not fussed either way.
I’ll probably download it just to have a play.

How many people would tick both those boxes these days?

In the over 60 year old category I’d say plenty.
But I’m guessing just like anyone would be.
No idea!

Agreed, but using Google, Google Maps or almost any app on your device requires giving permissions to the app to use many aspects of your phone and nobody ever reads the T's and C's.

I guess people who don’t have FB or a smartphone probably don’t use google apps either.

How many people on here have parents that don’t have a smartphone?

I wish, my parents spend too much bloody time on facebook and on smart devices!
