I'm talking south where the fire is. I wish it was raining there but I've been told it isn't

There has been rain confirmed in Watervale, near Gawler, Mt Pleasant, as well as other areas of the Mid North, Barrossa & Hills (that's just from my FB friends) what you see on the radar is rain

Think we both confused each other

The radar was reading the smoke earlier and showing +100mm rainfall near Inglewood.

There are definitely storms about. It rained here in Gawler though it burned off before it hit the ground basically.

Sounds like numerous fires in the mid-North area - presumably lightning strikes?
Windy as buggery from the south in the last hour on the YP.

**** .. How often in this weather do we hope for wind/breeze to break the heat, but not today. Stay safe anyone who's in the firing line, even if potentially.

The Rocking horse has escaped damage despite rumors suggesting otherwise and the Cudlee Creek animals are all safe so far

By all reports there are 100 firefighters stationed inside unbeknownst to the fire, waiting to pounce
i know it isn't a laughing matter but i thought it was quite clever.

And work all day so not getting any info, we could see the smoke up around hill and look like it's moving further north, is that correct???
Is it under control or have things got worse

I'm sure everyone has heard about how you will get a text if you need to go. If you have family or friends close to this fire (I would suggest anyone east of main north road from blakeview to hope valley) tell them to make sure that location services is turned on, if it is off they will not receive a text.

no problems got a mate that lives up at the top of craigmore road that is packed waiting to leave if it turns. Scary how close this is to a lot of houses.
