Didn't rate returning home and work and the cold weather

You have some finals footy to enjoy though Keefy. Good luck to the girls on Sunday, wish I could be there!

Under no disillusions as to how long this is going to take, having renovated 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens I'm aware things :

1 - Never go as smoothly as you hope
2 - Never happen as quickly as you hope
3 - Always cost more than you expect
4 - Mrs Boon is extremely impatient
5 - I drink lots
6 - 5 has nothing to do with renovations

My wife and I are best friends but have learnt that we just simply cannot perform tasks together, whenever we have a big job to do we assign roles and don't interfere or offer advice to each other, it's frustrating but it seems to work.

I'm left shaking my head a lot of the times but beer fixes everything.

I have renovated 2 places with my missus, some of our Bunnings fights were legendary

Ouch, when we face that again it will be me doing the outside, her doing the inside.

Last attempt was a trip to Virginia nursery so I could set the vegie garden up and we could jazz the front yard up.

I wanted shrubs that could end up meeting each other, she wanted flowers, she won.

I finished my vegie set up and went to do the front, I spaced out the flowers so they'd end up meeting up, she whinged and wanted to cluster them at intervals, she won.

I planted them how she wanted them knowing what the end result would be, they no longer exist.

I stood in the Ikea kitchen section openly sobbing with my face in my hands repeatedly saying "I just want to get out of here" after about 2 hours of listening to some wanker "design consultant" offer Mrs Boon every option known to mankind despite both of us having a fair idea of what we were after.

Created quite the scene.

That place gives me claustrophobia.

Or someone used it this morning and turned the light and fan off on the way out.

It’s the little things.

Sure is, for a seemingly sophisticated, well presented bunch of staff here, there are some f****** pigs.

Smelt too fresh in there and everyone's too lazy to do stuff like that.

Being approached by a company to personally set up and run a distribution centre in SA for them.

National company.

Fingers crossed it all works out.

Good to know that it's not just me doing that at Ikea, although I generally do it 1:55 earlier.

You're legally required to give her an "I told you so".

A couple of friday nights ago the swans were playing... As i was putting my girls to bed i had it on silent and i had it on my phone... Anyways when i got to putting my eldest to bed she asked (i turned it of while i was doing story time with my youngest and put it back on when i was waiting for to fall asleep. So my attention was on the girls) instead of the usual made up story i tell her every night she asked if she could watch the swans game with me. We laid in bed and watched the footy together for 10-15 minutes and she was asking questions and wanting to see her favourite player Buddy Franklin (i may have told her him because he is easy to identify and yes my girls are swans supporter, they have no choice :) )... But it was awesome time and everytime since than and the footy's on we lay in bed and watch who ever is playing until it's time for her to sleep..
But last night was the coolest... No footy on last night but she asked if she could watch some anyways. since it was later than usual i said ok but on a little bit. Got on Youtube and watched the last 3 minutes of the 2012 GF, which is extra special to me as she was born just a month prior to that day... She loved it and was confused when i told her Buddy played for the other team with the ugly jumpers... Real special moment and we talked about going to the footy for the first time together next year when the swans come here and she was really excited.
