The only blokes in my circle of friends who will barrack for Port Power are the ones who do so as their club of first choice. The rest of us either couldn't care much or just happy to see them beaten.

When I was in Melbourne I had to explain this logic to them. They said that because I was from South Australia I'd be supporting the Crows or Port if they made the finals. When I scoffed, they asked why not and I said "well, you're a Collingwood supporter right? Would you barrack for Essendon or Carlton in the finals?" They said "no" and I said "exactly". The hatred goes within states and doesn't stop at the border like most Vics might think.

Got a guy at work who I have worked closely with for 2 years, who is usually bickering with one or multiple sales reps. Right now they're all sucking up each others arses, so all of a sudden I get called into the GM's office to discuss how I carry out my job.

Good thing I do a good job coz I disputed the made up shit, and then the GM ended the meeting telling me how well I do my job.
