One and only interaction with Ian Healy was observing him walking to the hotel with his commentator colleagues. Every single one happily signed autographs and posed for photos, but Healy. He even told a couple of punters to "f..k off" after they asked for a photo.

Hmmm ok perhaps he had a bad day..... the time I met him, sat on his table at a function during an Adelaide test match in which he was playing he was a good bloke. Even going out of his way at the end of the evening to say goodbye to me and Mrs C.

The partner served them from start to finish and what she mentioned all three were extremely polite and more than happy to give out signatures

I would but I am on the treadly today. Hence my smashing the first one when I walk in the door. Reckon I would look like a fair pelican (as if I don't already) in the drive through on my mountain bike.

I think it might be here too, I'm not sure if you can have one open in the vehicle at all.

On January 1 we were driving back from Mildura, we stopped at Waikerie for a feed and then the missus and I shared a beer, we got to Truro and I got her to open another where I took a swig as we were leaving the town, got around a bend and there was a breatho, I totally shat myself reaching for a bag of chips as I guzzled down some water that I wore most of, every car in front of me was pulled in except for me.

Not that I would've been done but the mouth alcohol probably would've registered something and I would've had to wait another twenty on an already arduous journey.

spot on. you can even be drinking it while driving, as long as you are under 0.05 of course. other states get a bit narky about any open alcohol in the car, but here in SA were more sensible about things

there was a front page article in the tiser a few years ago about how "crazy" it was that you could drink alcohol while driving here, tried to suggest it was against the road safety messaging at the time (imo its no different than drinking soft drink, or water, or anything else while driving, as long as you are under the limit). a bill was introduced into parliament to have that changed, but was never passed (trust me, ive read the relevant legislation. ive won this argument before :))

Correct, it is not illegal to drive with an open alcohol container in South Australia, provided you are under the legal limit.

A Bill was introduced to parliament in 2012 to change this, it was never passed.

Inspired by @pseudo's recent experience, blowing into the bag can mean different things in different situations....
