Install linux on top of the existing windows system. Either create a partition for linux in windows prior to installation (my preference) or you can usually create the partition from the linux installer. The linux boot loader (grub) should be installed as the default boot loader. This should automatically detect your windows install and set up an option to boot it. Make sure you haven't selected the option to not install the bootloader, this will result in the Windows boot being the only option... I think it is possible to configure the Windows bootloader to boot other OSes but I wouldn't trust it.

It looks like Edge is registered as the primary internet browser and cannot be changed. To use another browser by default it is necessary to run through all the file extensions you might want to open in a browser and forcibly associate each one with your preferred browser.

There are other issues; he demonstrated an inability to resize a window to full-screen properly when workng with multiple displays.

TL;DR - don't upgrade yet.

We changed from microsoft to google a few years back with our internal emails, spreadsheets and docs etc, it was a bit tedious and we were apprehensive but it didn't take us long until we realized how much better it was.

Now we've reverted back to M365 and it's killing us, there's arguments over lost documents, no one knowing where to find them, no shortcuts so it appears as though haven't been updated.

What a pain in the arse.
