Thanks Locky. 30 a day means a doubling rate of over a week, which would enable some strict contact tracing to try and lock down the spread.

So we have done 190,000 tests, 3,573 confirmed, 14 deaths (.39%) and 170 recovered. Despite the hyteria (tic) surely Australia is doing pretty well

Glad he is an expert and cant even spell

FFS. People seem intent on having this drag out for months and months and months.

Australia is doing ok at the moment. NSW are a concern, they have lost the ability to trace it now and its out and moving.

Victoria are like that as well.

SA has had a few blips but SA heath are actually doing a good job here and generally able to keep tracing and alert possible hot spots.

Still along way to go, but things could be worse and in saying that it may well still get to that point.

Heard 1000 nurses have been stood down as hospitals ‘closed’ hundreds of beds in preparation for a spike. This is based of a friend who is a nurse that was stood down last night, I presume she is on the money.

Sad times.

I think they've closed down beds due to cutting elective surgeries. And yes ready for the spike. I would assume those nurses will be back in work helping care once the beds are filled again.

Correct, the casuals have no work for the next 2 weeks and some permanents have been encouraged to take A/L , word is there expecting a peak and will be all hands on deck after that. There's a lot going on behind the scenes.
