I always find it interesting when the media will report of the number of injuries of people gored by bulls and its almost like a surprise. Sort of ask the question, you have a pack of bulls that are chasing people and they gore them, exactly what where they expecting?

The sport this weekend - great TV viewing.

Beginning tonight with:-

Swans Vs Hawthorn - top of the table clash
British Open Golf - 1st round
Tour De France - not many fans on here I reckon, but tonights stage up the Mont Ventoux is huge. Froome to consolidate tonight. Quintana will only make a marginal gain, if any. Porte hopefully to move into the top 10.

Not much sleep this weekend, as the golf, the footy and the cycling continues... throw in some Carribean T/20 and there is the fourtrella.

Best sporting weekend of the year....must remember spare batteries for the remote!

They have shortened the stage tonight due to predicted 100km/h winds at the summit. That favours Froome in a big way imo. Has been an ok race so far, although i thought the Pyrenees would have seen a few more attacks from the GC contenders.

Is that a definte Mickey??

I heard it was a possible.... safety first but it would have been great seeing them trying to get to the summit into that breeze.

Froome is a pretty damn good climber at any rate. Even at full distance I don't see Quintana getting much of a time advantage over Froome, and even if he did, Froome will get it back, and then some come the time trial/s.... Race is over, pending a crash to Froome for mine.

Sagan always going to win Green. Climbers jersey still an interesting battle.

Bucket list stuff... but one day I want to experience the tour live.... driving around in one of those camper vans with Mrs C.

Confirmed! Taking the final 6km out. Fair chance some of the riders would get blown off the mountain!

Cheers Mickey, means I may get to bed 30 minutes ahead of schedule tonight!

Imagine riding up that sucker, into a head win. No thanks, I'll just watch those young, fit blokes.

That's a bit like saying because a few West Coast players took drugs in 2006, that all AFL players take drugs!

The sport has done itself no favours over the years, no doubt about that. What Armstrong did, was abhorrent, and he JUST HAD TO HAVE been helped out at the pointy end of UCI. Corruption of the highest order. Big $$$$$ involved. I think it goes through "cycles" if you pardon the pun. Of times its clean across the board, and times it is a dirty game. I have faith that right now it's a clean sport.

Aaron Baddeley has won on the US Tour for the first time in 5 years. He took out the Barbasol Championship in Alabama. He had a chance on the 18th to win but the putt just missed. He saved his best for the 4th extra hole when he nailed a 25 foot putt for victory. 2 year exemption and a spot in the US PGA Championship later this month.

My wife, son & daughter getting to meet Ollie Wines today & my son getting to have a kick & catch with Ollie. According to the wife he is a very polite (and almost shy) young man, very impressed with his attitude. PAFC should be very proud of him.
