We got a quick but heavy down poor at work (at Osborne) and the wind was horrendous. Now it's beautiful.

Got smashed at Glenelg. Got pictures on my phone but I'm too incompetent to load them up. When it first rolled in I could seriously throw a rock through the cloud from the ground.

Absolutely heart wrenching and sad.

I wonder what NG thinks about this and why it happened to a pastor of the church....

As a church going fella... I honestly dont know myself... I cant even comprehend it...

Just thinking of that poor family...

Mrs Jase has been the Pastoral (home room) teacher to a number of the kids who were there at the time and saw what happened.

She has been with them tonight at Victory Church and there is just a massive sense of shock...

This is the 2nd parent of kids at school who have passed away in the past 6 months... just horrible...

I did hear about this... really really sad for the family. You have to feel for the kids and hope that the support network is in place for his wife, which one can only assume is considering his place in the church, let alone society at large.

If you're asking what i think about it then i think that at least he was ready. Here is a man who had given his life in service to God and it was his time, now he gets a promotion. We will never understand the why of life. All it shows is that no matter who you are and whats going on in life, we all have an appointed time that we don't know. We must be ready for it!

Guarantee the family and church will grieve but that will be closely followed by rejoicing that he is now in heaven!

I can't even begin to explain how ****** up this way of thinking is.

You think they'll be rejoicing that this poor bastard got hit by lightning and is "in heaven"? **** me.

Condolences to Jase, Mrs Jase and those close to him.

The Pastor's death at Cornerstone College was sad.
I have an indirect connection to the area in that I own a rental property nearby and the tenants have rented out their own house and rented mine for the convenience of their teenage children attending the school.

The talk of religion reminded me I saw a good old movie from 2009 on TV recently:

I didnt know the Dad at all though have chatted to his eldest son on a number of occasions... he was in the school musical with my son last year and they are sharing a role this year as well...

Plenty of staff at the school go to Victory, as do many of the kids so it has been tough for many of them this week.

The kids are back at school next week so hopefully that will bring some sort of normalcy for them...

Anyway thanks for support...
