I don't dislike Vili's, but for me it's the same as what FC says

Back in the delivery van mate.

Surely you'd hit up a servo pie or three during the day?

Villis are good but the pastry is too crumbly to eat in the car without getting it all over you haha.

Beef, cheese and bacon pie.

Five f**kin dollars for that shit!

Should've got a hot dog from the Wendy's in there.

For a mass produced pie, Villis are about as good as you're going to get but I like pepper, have been know to add extra if fresh cracked pepper is available

Although they gave me a cappuccino when i ordered a latte, the coffee was excellent, perfect temp and not burnt at all.

Wifey and I both ordered big breakfasts, and once again the lass got the order wrong as she brought out the vegetarian versions and we had to ask for the bacon and the sausages. But they were nice about it, so i dont mind the mixup really.

Bacon was excellent, and it is amazing the difference a really nice piece of toast makes.

With the entertainment book voucher we got one of the breakfasts for free, so it came to around $26, pretty decent value.

Not bad BMac. Do you know what time they serve breakfast until. I might surprise the wife one day but prefer more of a brunch timing

Went there sunday night after seeing a movie at Norwood. There bbq chicken pizza was mint! :YMAPPLAUSE: Full of toppings which i rate! highly recommend 9/10

Should be an automatic one month ban from this site for buying food from OTR
Certainly a ban from this thread.

And then the audacity to review it....

Yep banned until tomorrow.

You have reviewed with emotion and it has effected your analytical ability.

You have purchased a pie presumably from a glass window so it's looked like a pie and tasted like a pie. Surely it has to score at least a 2. To score 0 the entire integrity of the product needs to be wrong or a spider crawls out of it or it smells and tastes like actual shit.

As the man who unearthed 127 on this site you have some definite street cred but we can't let this happen again mate ;)

maybe we should define a standardised ratings system, and include Food, Value, Atmosphere etc?

I hear a lot of complaints about it but I'm quite fond of the 2 kransky's, chips & gravy deal for $9.90.

I live about 5 or so minutes away and can't say it hugely interests me...until the night I'm coming home at 4am with a skin full and then it may reach epic levels.

My Mum came up from Mt. Gambier last month for a week and we went there 3 days in a row. Partly I guess because of the novelty and convenience but mainly because of Mums love of cream cakes.

I did identify the cransky deal for next visit and each time we all walked out happy enough but for me if you go pie, cake and coffee/drink it ends up being $30ish for the two of us. Therefore it doesn't really compare to the many restaurants in the ent book with a 2 for 1.

If you feel like pastry though it's a winner or as my wife's mate mentioned..."a few late night squinty eyed blokes with insatiable appetites and very giggly" love to frequent the establishment between 10pm and 5am.

Nah each to their own, just giving the young fella a hard time.

My ratings are heavily biased towards value for $. I couldn't have given Boonies place that was obviously awesome a 9.5 if it goes $140 per person.

Today for instance I had the Lobster deal for members at the Casino for $12.90. It tasted awesome but I was hungrier when I finished than when I started. Overall I would go 7/10 as no bloke could call that a proper feed but the taste and sauce was very tasty.

The one I pointed at was at the front, the one he gave me (which i saw after leaving) was a brown, burnt, dry, piece of shit.

For $5, it was a disgrace.

I stand by my 0. If you saw it, and then tasted it, you would concur.

We went out for tea tonight, but it was the Lighthouse again, so not gonna review it.

I will however fill you in on some of the cracking jokes I made while eating. To get them, you have to know that not one other patron in the place was under 60.

* Heidi Baraeu would be spewing. She would've wanted a hip pub, but she got a false hip pub... ;)

* Im just going to go have a look at the "Cuppa Tea Garden" (while pointing to the beer garden)

* Something about the sports bar only showing bowls.

Mrs HH3 didnt appreciate the jokes as much as I did.

Now servo pies are fair game for this thread, FFS?

Right, the bar has been lowered. I'm dropping it further:

The vending machine in the foyer of building W, Mawson Lakes campus, University of South Australia, last Tuesday

Felt like a bit of a treat with my afternoon coffee - nothing flash, just hot water in a mug with a coffee bag - so I stopped at the vending machine on the way back from the staff room.

The machine was clean and the glass was perfectly transparent, affording me a perfect view of the gaudy wares for sale. I already had a Summer Roll in mind, and though the Nestle Crunch bar called to me with its austere red white and blue wrapper, the Summer Roll won my selection. Two sixty in shrapnel, having been scraped from the lower recesses of my desk drawer just 5 minutes previously, was fed coin by coin into the slot. The machine tallied the money perfectly. Not one coin was rejected, which was appreciated 'coz I hate having to scrabble about in the return bay to feed coins back into the machine. The buttons were clean and responded to pressing with a satisfying beep. The Summer Roll was dropped unceremoniously into the receptacle but was undamaged, due in no small part to the item's location near the bottom of the machine. The flap over the receptacle was a little hard to push but the item was retrieved without serious problem.

Ambience was resonable, as far as vending machines go. Being in the foyer the lighting was relatively good. To my right the glass doors opened onto a leafy car park. There was no other clientele around; though a grad student might have snuck past behind me while I diddled with the buttons. The calibre of the food was average: chocolate, coconut, nougat; yer standard Summer Roll.

Nothing special, but I'll be back, mostly out of convenience. 5/10.

Yeah, it is costly for what you said, we'll drop in on my way home from my sons footy and grab the kransky deal after stopping at OTR to get an iced coffee and & 2 classic vanilla malts all for $8, add the $9.95 and we're all satisfied for under $18.
