Yep, 5pm is when the ironing board comes out. It's the signal of the end of the weekend and my last couple of beers as I chuck a crease down a few things.

The drinking rate goes up a notch, I know that...

Snap, it's our prime time for the week, have a few slow ones as the day progresses and by 5 we're up and running, usually a spit roast to slow us down a bit and a reasonably early night.
A little bit of TMI in that post....i mean its great that you're honest...sometimes it can be a bit too much....but sunday arvos will never be the same now with that mental picture.....

LOL, I was referring to the drinking rate.

I'm a good looking rooster mate, I'm sure you'll have sweet dreams.

Anyone been to the All-you-can eat Pizza Hut at Marion recently?
Like in the last 10 years?

If so is it any good?

Kids want me to take them there but I didn’t even know they still existed, apparently Marion is the only one left.

Dunno mate.

But, an eat-in Pizza Hut in this day and age, bugger me! Must be heritage listed or a museum, so the kids might be bored out of their brains. Then again, they might learn about the joys of self-serve soft-serve ice cream. ;)

I remember going to the Port Road Pizza Hut 20 years ago now.

Yeah I’ll let the kids loose on the soft serve and chocolate mousse.
Well I assume they still have that.

Was down that way a couple of months ago and popped in there. Nothing spectacular but a good assortment and was more than enough to hit the spot on the cheap.
Probably only 15 others in there, was lunch time on a school week day though. Had 7-8 different varieties of pizza that was refreshed fairly often. 3 types of pasta for memory and heaps of garlic bread. Didnt have desert but soft serve machine and custards and jelly. The old faithful post mix dispenser got a workout from me. Can see why kids would love it

Been there a few times in recent years. It is the same as it ever was. Excellent for kids, passable for adults. I have only ever been there with kids - once for a birthday party - and have tolerated the average quality and poor value (for adults) for the sake of the kids.

Renting a place at the moment, the evaporative air con shat itself and is getting replaced.

Get a water bill yesterday, $982, I think the thing was pissing out during the colder months when it wasn't in use, I had no way of telling as the downpipes go underground and it's a very steep roofed high 2 storey house, what are my options as we clearly didn't use that much water, the bill was more than triple our usual.

Isn't the water meant to be turned off when it's not in use for a prolonged period of time?

The bill isn't in our name so I can't even call SA Water.

This is on the back of thinking we were for forking out $500 for some mechanical repairs last week that have turned out to be closer to $2500, a fair kick in the snatch at this time of year, a very depressing Christmas on it's way.

Unlikely given your installation, 2 storey and steep roof. Some units required start up / shut down in the past, some were self cleaning, sounds as though yours might have been in need of start up / shut down and due to the position it hasn't been done at the start and end of summer.

And yes, if there's issues with the float or something has perished ( solenoid for open / close ) then it may well have just been flowing non-stop since it was last used or inspected.
