unfortunately it looks like Soj is correct. a quick look at the historic reg code of practice (link here: http://www.sa.gov.au/upload/franchise/T ... storic.pdf) doesnt specifically prohibit thermo fans, but suggests they would only be allowed if they were either an oem fitment for your model, or were available at the time and isntallation wouldnt have affected warranty (section 8.4)

from memory you falcon is quite an early one (early sixties??) so i am not sure if a thermo fan was even available aftermarket back then. i would think you might be out of luck with it, sorry. however Soj's other suggestion of a V8 radiator might be appropriate. they were an oem fitment on your model (well the V8 version anyway) and should come under section 8.5 in the code: "non performance enhancing accessories or safety equipment that does not detract from the historic integrity of the vehicle may be added without recording as a variation"

hope it helps

Yep, 68 XT Tipper. I think the V8 radiator suggestion may be the go. Cheers.

Basically, if he wants to modify it ( engine, gear box etc ) then he would still be able to leave it LHD, but he would not be on limited / historic use.

If he wants to keep it original and LHD he could go limited / historic use as it is over 30 years old.

It will depend on what, if anything has been done to it already.

The only way yo can register a LHD in SA is to have it registered on conditional Historic registration, a LHD it can have NO modifications whatsoever if you want to register it in SA, even down to paint colour trim etc. about all you can do is hide/dicuise a modern stereo so that it can't be seen without o[opening the glove box or looking under the seat

If you want to play with it your only option is a conversion
