Glad this backfired on Demetriou.
Should've spent the million clams on developing the game at grassroots level in Western Sydney.
Or better yet, they should've just put a team in Tassie or NT, where a marquee player wouldn't have been required.

I struggle to see GWS surviving for very long anyway, right in the middle of Rugby League heartland.. with Folau going back, the few if any league followers will go back to league with him.

go to sydney or brisbane and miss 15

surely he should receive the same penalty no matter where he ends up

So let me get this right.

The AFL can self rort the salary cap by paying someone who has never touched a footy before $6M over 3 years on behalf of a club, but if any other established club pays above odds then they throw the book at them?
