NFL Season 2015/16

Postby Jim05 » Tue Jan 05, 2016 6:43 pm

Rams, Chargers and Raiders have all officially lodged applications to relocate. Owners meeting on the 12-13th of Jan.
If I was betting on it I'd say the Rams and Chargers will get the nod and share a stadium. The Raiders to be forced to stay put

Rams want to go it alone and they would be my bet as two teams moving at once might not be ideal.

Chargers and Raiders wanna build a stadium in Inglewood, and the Rams want to build in Carson, so there may well be two teams in LA.

The city would be able to support it if they actually got behind football this time.

Read an article yesterday saying that the NFL want 2 in LA next year. They are worried that the first team back in LA will get too big of a foothold in town and it will be too much hard work for a second side to move in later. Was also mentioned that the Rams and Chargers owners are really good friends and have investigated a ground share arrangement

The Rams and Chargers are trying to build in two different locations. Can't stadium share if one teams in Inglewood and ones in Carson.

Originally the Raiders and Chargers had initiated a ground share at Carson but only recently Kroenke has said he is willing to let the Chargers co share his new stadium if the other proposal falls through.
Was mentioned this morning that Inglewood may be canned due to its proximity to LAX

I had the stadiums back to front.

So the Rams and Chargers would essentially team up to lock the Raiders out?

I'd say the Raiders and Chargers are most likely to have the most support.

Sounds that way. The NFL want 2 North California and 2 South California sides so I'm guessing they will leave to Raiders up in the Bay but possibly in a new stadium up there. Rams and Chargers are trying to block them out of LA

The Raiders moved from Oakland to LA back to Oakland, no-one seemed to notice.

I wonder if they'll appoint Sonny Weaver Jr.

Couldn't do any worse than the muppets who were in charge. ( Manziel = BUST!!!!!!!!! )

Would probably draft better and make some good deals along the way!!!!

I don't think Manziels a bust. I don't think Pettine gave him a chance to succeed.
