Have drawn Wittion Albion at home in the 2nd Round Qualifying of the FA Cup.

The gate gets split exactly 50/50 at this stage of the FA Cup so could be a nice little money earner for us.

Probably not, but I'm not too familiar with the rule of the English Football Association.

Im confident in the lads atleast coming away with a draw at worst.

loved the goal highlights from saturdays win on youtube

how do we go about streaming these matches???

and for the FA Cup we can write our own ticket as noone has us listed....that could help pay for the new stands!

Depends on where and when we are playing, you may need to check tonights opponents web page to see if they have one.

From what i can gather its only the Saturday afternoon timeslots FC United stream but i could be wrong.

Yeah i think we can get a draw tonights just need to the Wolf to score another!!!!!

The Youth team are doing a good job

The reserves are sitting top of the table

The League team is about to make its move to get into the Play-Off zone

The Academy side is sitting mid table

The Women's side well they need to get their act together

anyone know what the record is for teams moving through divisions?

I find it pretty awesome that almost any team can theoretically be in the premier league

Wasnt long ago Swansea was playing in league 2 (the fourth divison) ex West Ham junior Leon Britton had played with them through every division.

Bournemouth were in league one not so long ago.

Burton Albion, Fleetwood Town in league 1 were a non league football side not to long ago and are teams on the rise.

While teams like Portsmouth, Plymouth, Oxford, Cambridge United, Notts County, Luton Town, Wrexham, Grimbsy Town, Tranmere Rovers, Southport are all in league 2 or the English National League and were in the championship in the last ten years but down to bad management etc have dropped.

This has the structure of how all the leagues work right down to amateurs, it pretty cool actually.

The promotion/relegation system through England and the FA Cup are two of the reason i absolutely love football.

Depends if you mean consecutive or just promotions. Not many sides have 3 consecutive promotions but plenty of sides make big jumps over a short period. Bournemouth for instance were in League 2 (Div 4) only 5 years and were close to being relegated from league football that year.
Wimbledon made div 1 only 9 years after being elected to the FA.
Plenty of sides move 3 to 4 divs in the lower leagues and non league football

thanks for that lads.

Yeah i was reading that wiki article the other day when you first posted about FC United, it is very cool.

i was more thinking of a club that has had a meteoric rise in a shortish amount of time, bournemouth fit that bill pretty nicely.

Portsmouth probably fit the bill in the opposite direction.

On the other scale there are the yo yo sides who are consistently in the same couple divisions because of their financial structure and how sensible they are, teams that spring to mind are WBA, Wolves, Birmingham, Reading, Norwich, QPR who have financially set themselves up to be strong at Championship level but arent willing to go that extra step and spend more when they get promoted.

Burnley are heading down that path at present
