The game against Villa was alright but last week we went against what we are and thats long ball hoofers. We tried to match Swansea playing the ball on the park and were always going to get belted doing so.

The game is far from over especially when the 'ammers are involved.

I wonder whether we will get a rare visit to the soccer forums from our resident stalker Potsy to tell us how 5hite West Ham are!

Liverpool had a decent penalty shout turned down right near HT.

*sigh* gonna be another long season.

At this stage we look to be playing patches of better football, but it appears a high offensively oriented style, and we don't have a heap of quality up there .. Liking what I've seen from Joe Allen.

Not liking the (lack of) defensive aspect .. It's like a zone setup but you can't play good teams like Arsenal and give them that much time on the ball .. Close them down FFS!!

Still stuffed if I know why Carroll was loaned out when we're so bereft of front men.

Wasn't the best, but the defending was poor to let him in like that .. And he's a top notch looking player.

Liverpool in serious trouble this season (im talking about a top half finish) there not playing to bad but rarely looking threating. Where are the goals going to come from. Their great at the set piece but with Suarez being the only out and out striker there isnt alot of power in the forward half.

Allan looks good but lacks alot of creativity, plays the simple correct ball every time but its easily read and the defenders are a couple of moves ahead.

Allen looks an excellent passer (much better than Lucas, albeit theyre different types) so iMHO he looks creative, but It matters little when we're empty up front.

Arsenal look strong with their defensive setup and keeping their shape well too.

Great to get the win but looked ordinary at the back again. Need to tighten up the defense or the better sides will have a field day
