If 'it' refers to;
-the winning goal
-a double over arsenal
-MOTM

Then yes, i agree he will!

I give us a serious shot though. Even though Boyans out we have put some solid performances down and have looked a lot more defensively sound of late, bar set pieces which is weird. Add to the fact that agiroud is still out and wellbeck is rubbish... and we play well against the top sides. optimistic a touch i am.

Come on bully. Lets not let reputations get in the way. Hughes has drastically changed the way our boys play and we can play some atteactive football. No doubt we are still quite physical but its certainly not over the top.

RE your boy Ramsay, that was purely accidental and although it was a bad challenge it certainly wasnt meant to do the damage it did. Surely mr shawcross' reaction told that story...

Looking forward to this though, a trip to emirates in relatively good form, be magic to do the double over your mob!

i dont have anything against stoke ,or yourself dont take it that way :) .... i have something against your fans booing ramsey for having his leg broken and nearly career ending injury from your player? Why .....i have heard because Shawcross tried to contact ramsey to apologize and ramsey refused to listen which he has every right to. Thats all i see that is wrong there.....

The reason we boo Shawcross is because of that disgusting tackle to cause his injury for a start, and your fans booing ramsey.

I actually like us going to stoke because its a challenge that we struggle against and it feels like beating tottenums when we go there and win its that big to me . Not as big yes, i mean in terms of a win.

Now as for hughes. There is still that rugby style there IMO. Adams tackle on sanchez at stoke was around the neck, strangled to the ground and the ref did nothing. So its still there

Charlie Adam is a scouse in potters clothing... He is a very dirty, angry little Scotsman. I'm not the biggest fan. Bardsley is another that has that grunt about him too, seems to be overly aggressive in the challenges. Shawcross cuddles too much at set pieces but they are the only three I can think of that may get that label. Otherwise muniesa is too small as a CB, Wilson is maybe a bit slow/late in challenges, Cameron doesn't check close enough, Pietersen is hard but fair, Nzonzi is the same, oh maybe Whelan too, like maybe 'Charlie Adam light'. Arnautovic is just an of, boyan, like muniesa is too small, diouf would rather just run than make any contact, crouch is pretty fair and Walters is a battler but not that aggressive.

I saw the 'stomp' that begonia did in RVP's general direction against United early on but that was more of an authority in the box showing after a small altercation than a statement of intent or threat.

I saw that Moses is back in training after his thigh injury so hopefully it isn't long before he gets back for us because he was tearing it up on the left, with him and boyan operating in tandem and someone like arnautovic or assaidi or Walters demanding the right flank with diouf through the middle we could look pretty dangerous, lots of pace and skill. Odemwingie will be interesting when he returns and how that might change the line up but we'll see, long way down the track with that after his ACL.

Ozil will be on the bench for the game against stoke. So at least we seem to be coming through this injury thing

Great win by Saints this morning. That's 7 out of a possible 9 points in our last 3 matches against Chelsea, Arsenal & United.
The best defence in the league kept another clean sheet (league high 10 for the season) with United not having a single shot on target.
Southampton fans are now entitled to think about a spot in Europe.
I laughed when the travelling support this morning were singing "where have all our players gone".

Europa for sure but Champions League will be a stretch.
One gets the feeling Southampton is only ever a game away from lapsing into a slump like they had a few weeks back unlike Arsenal and Manchester United who have huge attacking depth at their disposal.
I'm convinced Arsenal will finish top-4 so, barring an implosion, I reckon you will be battling United and Tottenham for a Champions League berth.
I admire West Ham, but a Sam Allardyce-managed club in the Champions League is a concept I find difficult to grasp. Liverpool too are in the mix but are too inconsistent.

Stretching it a bit there. Push & shove, arguing on the pitch - nothing we haven't seen before.
Unless something happened afterwards that you know about?

home after a long day. been up since 0130am

On the game. Bout time we showed what we are made of. Outplayed them in every position on the ground today, no questions about it.

Cazorla was awesome, coq was MOTM. City looked lost and like they were back to their mid-late 90s form, struggling to do anything to the big teams

After todays performance i dont see where Ozil will fit in the team. Just a shame we didnt start this at the start of the season!

Very proud today :) all that loss of sleep for a good purpose :D
